Hey guys. Really enjoyed the old Maplestory, so I decided to install your server to give it a try. No black screens pop up when I start the Mapleroyals.exe. It just immediately brings up an error message. Any helpful tips on a fix? Your monitor being set at 30 Hz refresh rate might be the issue. Set it to 60 Hz and try loading the game again.
ive had the same issue and nothing helped. downloading the no-windowed-mode client for royals finally fixed it for me. dont remember the link but u can snoop around the forums and find it. hope it helps
I looked up how to change the Hz refresh rate and figured out that it was already at 60. I ran the game with the "Run in 640 X 480 resolution" and it brought it up. The only problem was the text was so squished I couldn't read anything in-game and my mouse couldn't go in the bottom right corner of the screen. I changed the resolution manually while in the game and it's all good now. Just the small hassle I have to go through to experience nostalgia all over again. Thanks for the help, guys!
