Well, I believe the university should have the kind of resources to develop their own system without spell checkers and stuffs (not saying we're typing using Words/Google Docs) and just disable internet access, remove all browsers, etc.
It's called Examplify. Anti-cheat and can disable all forms of spelling help. I don't know how wide spread it is though, but my school uses it. If my parents didn't have insurance my heart surgery @ 11 months would have cost them our house 24 years ago. Nowadays, I can't imagine what the same procedure costs w/o insurance. I was otherwise 100% healthy, my parents and grandparents are (were) otherwise healthy. Shit happens, and that's why insurance is a thing, but insurance shouldn't cost an arm and a leg, no matter how you twist it. Honestly of all things our country (the US) could be spending it's money on, education and healthcare should be free. I know people at school who disagree and it's mind boggling to me. How is wanting your neighbors to be healthy and not stupid a bad thing?
