Heyo, I just downloaded the game and am about to play it in a few minutes, but before I hop in and try the game I thought I'd ask the community if this game is worth it in terms of time and effort. Been playing MS on and off ever since age 5 when it came out beta in Korea, haha. Game's basically my childhood, and although I miss the old MS I do like the newer things that the live servers are coming up with, but I'm still leaning towards a community-based MS as I always have(last few years of playing, I never mobbed/bossed I just henehoe'd pretty hard) To make it less complicated than it sounds, I just want to hear from the community- how's the game? This is my very first time playing a private server, so I'll keep it to 2 things I want answered: - How's the optimization? Does it run smoothly, no crashes at starts, etc? - How does the exp work? I've been told exp is different in private servers, a lot faster(which I prefer actually hehe) Yes, I fully understand I can learn once I play the game and answer these things(and more) for myself, but I have some things I'm doing atm and can't play much until the New Year happens. Just short, quick food for thought replies would be great on how the game is in general, and why/why not it's a great game to start. Thanks in advance!
-There's always some lag everyday but most of the time the game works well. -The exp is 3.2x. It's easier to level but not too easy. The game is good. The GMs/admins are very competent at what they do, there are always updates planned, the community is the biggest here compared to those in other maplestory private servers. You can always find lots of people in FM, PQs, events, leeching maps, bossing maps etc. Lots of people like the community here because it's easy to make friends. I think you're joining at a great time. We've just got Horntail and a mega christmas event released recently and I heard from an admin that there's lots of cool stuff planned and coming up in 2018.
YOOOOOOO BETA KMS SQUAD HYPE Optimization's obviously not as good as classic MapleStory, but pretty good for a private server. They've transitioned to a new source which came with many bugs but we're also seeing frequent big fixes with new feature implementation. It's a "low rate" server in that there's a 3.2x boost to EXP, but if you're a beta tester you should be fine lmao. Oh and make sure you read the T&C, it's super strict and super different from classic MapleStory. Hope to see you in game!
