https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ban-appeal.109021/ it really hurts to see such a thread. on one hand, i want to believe the person who worked his ass off and got those items, but on the other hand it is indeed very suspicious of him getting a perfect craven from a random lvl 30 guy... real world trading? who knows... i am not here to talk about the thread or throw blame, i am using it as an example. MY POINT IS: please document your economic growth, screenshots are free (have them saved directly into a google driver so you don't lose them) and may save your butt if the GM's ever ban you. I understand and appreciate the GM's hard effort of catching RWTers, but I also feel like errors on their side are INEVITABLE. this is why we need to protect ourselves, gather and sit on a pile of screenshots, never accept random billions worth of mesos from random people without reason.
Feelsbadman being banned by suspiction-based "evidence". It shouldn't be necessary to document your gameplay in an online game. Players should only be banned for hard evidence in my opinion. But hey, players don't make the rules. We just blindly obey.
I think GMs can make mistakes but there are always 2 sides to a story and GMs probably investigated before slamming that ban button. >perfectly scrolled red craven from a friend below lvl 30 that you dont know their main character name of is too suspicious for us. Seems this was the reason why he got banned. IMO paying for items with real life money is kinda pathetic. It's a private server ffs. In his last screenshot, his friend basically admitted to RWT.
Lol yea funny as hell when people are trying to justify how they made a 100b in a month after they started
it is possible if you no life 16 hrs a day lol. takes a bit less than a week to get a 130-135 a/m with 82 hs mule, use your vote AP reset money to buy a elewand 5/7 & meteor/bliz 20, then youre set to make 120m an hour selling leech at ulu2.
Assuming you make a 100m per hour per day for 20 hours each day for a month that still only adds up 2b per day and 60b a month and we all know doing that consistently for 20 hours a day is impossible
Wealth is a funny concept. I'm relatively new to this server compared to the veterans, but I'd like to share my experiences and opinions on the topic: There are a few "jobs" on royals, such as the above leeching example, that will provide a steady income based off how often you with to provide these services. I consider myself a hardcore grinder and even I cannot go for much more than 4 hours a day. There are also ways to make money with "solostory" such as grinding mobs for NPC cash or farming heartstoppers/teeth/etc. You can sell boss runs such as Zak, HT, or BF leech, but these depend on others and have scarce availability. However, IF skillbooks / toes drop, this can be very profitable as well - just more of a risk. You can be a FM merchant. Buy low, sell high. Know the current prices at all times throughout fluctuation of markets. Stalk forums and lowball noobs that got godly items from gachapon. This method takes no ingame skill and revolves solely around your business skills as a person. There are many players that play this game just for the market aspect and are able to accumulate massive amounts of wealth without attacking any monsters. This takes a lot of time, knowledge, and opportunity cost (aka, time you spend waiting for an item to sell / opportunity can be time spent selling leech for guaranteed meso). To keep on topic of the main discussion, it is good to keep a ledger of your bigger sales, if just to use as reference for future sales or to analyze what you profit most with. Then, there is the gambling. Gachapon gambling is worth noting as a main source of income for casual players who just vote daily and pull once in a while. Scrolling provides a thrilling rush, mostly because of how much time and effort it took to get those funds to begin with. Sure, the odds are stacked against you, and chances are you will blow up all your mesos thinking you're about to hit the jackpot. The amount of times I've destroyed a +2 weapon out of sheer greed for landing the third 30% is depressing and I'm sure many of you out there can relate. There are many "markets" to look into for scrolling... earrings, red cravens, other endgame weapons, OR chaos scrolling. And this is where shit hits the fan. It baffles my mind that with one application of a chaos scroll (8att clean cape ~4b -> 13att 4 slot ~18b), I was able to double the net worth I've amassed over the past three months of no life-ing this game. I've personally followed the "formula" for royals - AKA, make a HS mule, make an archmage, and sell leech until you can afford to fund a bosser. When I started, my friend who introduced me to Royals gave me a crappy maple claw, 5mil, and said "vote every day" then he stopped playing. In my three months playing, I was able to accumulate a lot of wealth, double wash my bowman. Just yesterday I played for most of the day, selling 4 hours of petri leech as well as running HT (TT30 dropped) while stopper farming. It took a long time to gather these "tools" and a lot of effort of playing, resulting in about 1bil profit in my pocket. And now if we think about the above, my profit of ~13b would have taken about two weeks of this full-day hard grinding work to gather. HOWEVER - this could have just as easily diminished to a worthless item, essentially evaporating the billions of meso investment of the scrolling - enough to make a lot of players (and quite a few friends I've known) quit. I couldn't help but think about how much grinding time I've "saved" by scoring big on this one item with one scroll, but also remember the times when my billions were blown up with failed blizzard 30s or destroying an item due to the overwhelming power of the scroll... TLDR - Making mesos the steady natural way takes FOREVER, even with petri/skele leecher + bossing. Merching REQUIRES startup funds AND depends on the market, availability of buyers & sellers, and a bit of luck and timing. Making mesos the gambling way is volatile but you still need a lot of startup time and money to be able to afford the bigger risks. Either way, "getting rich quick" is not something that you can just grind out with hours of mindless playing. For this reason, and for all of us on royals trying to grind legitimately, it is crucial for GMs to seriously investigate any suspicion of RWT or illegitimate funding.
