So I've done zakum a couple of times before ever experiencing this dc/freeze, but this has started happening every time I try to zak. I've dced once when zak spawned, a second time before zak spawned, and this final time which was a bit after zak spawned. Is this on my end? The DCs basically look like this each time and only in zakum. Also if I try relogging, it just says my char is still logged in, even if I have left my maplestory in this dc/freeze state for a couple of minutes. Using PC with windows 7. I do change GFX frequently :O
This might be down to the general server lag we've been unfortunately experiencing recently, but it's also possible that some of the Zak dc issues got unfixed. Are you doing anything like minimizing the game or taking screenshots at the time the D/C occurs?
nahh I don't think it was server lag, since servers weren't lagging and its happened at different times, and I've only run when there was no lag. I wasn't taking screenshots or minimizing or anything ;x. I've deleted mapleroyals and reinstalled to test if that'll fix anything. Will update if I freeze or dc again :d
Ok, so I did zak again, and this time with full screen. I didn't freeze/dc like I did before but now there was the flashing of my ui, and I had to alt+tab to fix that. I just tried to join manny's event and my screen did freeze/dc like the zak picture I posted, I was in window mode for this. So is this only happening to me? :O
Not quite sure what to make of this at the moment, because it sounds very similar to the problems we had quite a while ago, but if that was the case, I'd be able to replicate these problems on the test server, which I haven't been able to. I will say, however, that I've found that taking a screenshot at Zak on the live server causes me to dc, which, from past experience, seems my comp's equivalent to random dcs/freezes and funky graphics at Zak.
Update: Attempted HT, continued to have my UI flash throughout the whole left pre-head. Which I use alt+tab to get rid of the flashing, flashing occurred very frequently, gfx did nothing to help. Once left pre-head was down it froze/flash again so I tried alt+tab and this time my computer started switching from a black screen and back to my desktop. No longer had control over the computer with its screen switching. This was on Fullscreen, it seems like the flashing only occurs during full screen. If I was playing window mode I would've probably froze like the zak pic I posted, and be unable to alt+tab or do anything to fix it. Help please I want to boss Q_Q I mentioned earlier that I was able to successfully zakum before without any issues, and this was before ulu/tot release.
Update: Just recently finished a zakum run, and there were no issues whatsoever playing in Full Screen mode. So now I have no idea where the problem lies
