So .. The ones who know me will know that I had quit/taken long breaks and come back quite a lot .. But I have never truly discussed the reasons behind them .. So this is my RoyalsStory ! I first created my character in November-ish 2014 thanks to my real life friend Sera. I created my itsKate character and played together with a couple more of my friends. Then they all quit making me not wanting to play without them .. I then came back mid-late 2015 and played quite competitively. I got to high levels with my I/l and created an hp-washed bm. Passed mw20 on both chars, went into many ht runs with guilds and friends. Created our own guild called Munchkin with @snapitsann , co-hosted BlackCatsHT with @Dessi. Got pretty strong, attempted to scroll a perfect bow but after buying perfect clean Dragon Shiner, I went 0/23 the same time when @Nessi made 7/27 or something with his bow during the same few weeks ... and decided not to continue and re-sold it for a great loss. I had around 6-7b in funds remaining and didn't know what to do so I created a hero and washed it to 30k clean HP at level 103. Then unfortunately my father passed away which made me take a break for a while once again. I had some help from maple friends like @thewchong who reminded me to continue eating and staying healthy no matter what. When I was taking my break I gave away all my gear and mesos to my friends who needed them or needed the help in general. I didn't care what they did with them, some sold my items to make mesos for themselves some used it, some quit. I'm happy with whatever they did if that helped them. That's what friends are for ! I decided to come back after a month or two, after I knew my mum and my real life was better and also for a way to clear my mind. When I came back things hit me harder in maple to be honest. Before my fathers death, I thought I had many friends on Royals but I realized I had people talking to me simply because I was an active player/bosser. I asked some help or some items to lend for starters when I got back to get back on my feet, but I got the same response from almost all of my friends, from people who still actively play up until today and made a name for themselves here. I'm glad they did to be honest. They all responded me with "No" giving the reason I quit a lot and not a good investment to help me knowing I will quit again .. I played for a few months, joined new guilds, got to know more people, sold a lot of leech to get back on my feet, then things in real life escalated quickly. I got promoted at work, moved my mum to my place to be closer to her especially since she was alone now, I moved in with my boyfriend, so much was going on that I simply didn't have time to maple. I tried to come back again right before the release of the New Source, and as I played mainly on a Mac, I had to once again take a break with the source release as it wasn't mac compatible. I knew this was gonna happen, so, I once again gave away my items. I came back in August/September of 2017 and started playing actively. Mained my hero, sold LOTS OF LEECH, did whatever I can to help people and went into bossing. I was gonna go on a project at work for 10 days so was going to take a break for 10 days but those 10 days ended up being until December because I lost my mum as well to cancer. This was even harder for me because both my parents were also single child and I was too, had no relatives besides the really distant ones and I had to go through with funeral and everything alone. My boyfriend was by my side all along and I could never have done any of the things I did without him. I love him more than anything and he's everything I've got now and everything I'll ever have. After coming back in December I played again actively, helped newly formed guilds in their paths to success and becoming a bossing guild. I finally reached level 200 after being stuck at 19x for over a year and a half.. Sold very cheap leech for people who cannot afford or need it with these ridiculously high leech prices. At the end of December I applied for a research fund from the State and was granted £300k for the next 5 years and £100k initial research fund. This means I will be working all day, everyday for the next 5 years. This is the biggest news for my career and for my life as I will be publishing my very own research in 5 years time! I can't keep calm ahaha this is the best news I've got after struggling in life for a few years ! So this is my official farewell. Thank you MapleRoyals for giving me the opportunity to play this game and make new memories/friendships ! This game has taught me so much! Even though The community has let me down so many times, out of full buddy lists on almost all my characters I can only call a few "my friends", I still always enjoyed playing in this server ! Loved every second, every adventure I took on and will cherish all those memories for ever ! I had promised a few people that I will be bringing back BlackCatsHT or start a new community point-based HT system for the new comers and for those who cannot find/is not strong enough for a regular HT squad to get their books/funds/htp's but unfortunately I won't have the time .. It would be lovely to see something that here but I doubt anyone would care about making something like that. I'd feel proud if anyone does decide to host though. Thank you to everyone whom I crossed paths with, for good and the bad you made my MapleRoyals experience, and wouldn't have preferred it any other way. Thanks to Ann (@snapitsann ) for being my best friend here. (Even though you've been banned for quite some time) I WILL COME VISIT YOU! Thanks to Chong brothers Des and Mat (@Dessi @thewchong ) for being my friends even outside of Maple. Especially Mat for being there for both of my parents' passing and always letting me know you're there. I appreciate you as a person a lot and couldn't be happier that Sera introduced us !! Thanks to every single guild I've ever been in for making me feel at home Euphoria, Peeps, Acme, BigDaddy, Nude, Selected, Munchkin, Office, Invictus, Cerulean, Behemoth, Generation, Divinity, Animosity (might be forgetting a few) I don't have any screenshots to show but I've had my share of great memories and especially I loved it how many people called me "Server's Mom" haha. I will also sell my worth-selling items these next few days just in case I come back after 5 years and in case the server is still up. Even though I won't be online in game anymore, I am planning on staying active on forums as much as I can. I hope I had given a good impression on all of you. I hope I pleased you and was a good peer/friend to you. I hope you liked my gameplay/bossing/leech services and everything else I had to offer to you.
