should add a system that allows people to vote for ideas proposed.

Err...players could always make a feedback thread and add a poll to it?

    Done!

Although more seriously, Kai is right. A feedback thread with a poll in it is probably the best because then there's an entire thread attached to it with discussion instead of a ton of post-made threads discussing a poll found elsewhere.

I'm talking about a new system entirely, you can do that but if you don't bump it, it will get no where, the vote system would be its own thing

If a feedback is popular, players would constantly post it in to further discuss its viability.

There are many factors that determine a threads popularity, the subject is only one, a system dedicated to voting would leave less loose ends

Zhe's talking about something like RuneScapes community vote where people add suggestions for game improvements.

My idea is simple, no searching threads, if I can compare it, it would be like rust with its skin voting system, you see an idea, you can vote yes or no, then on to the next idea, no bs, plain and simple

Would this be user driven or staff driven? As in, the questions that are set up in the voting system.

It would be user driven, you could set it up so if a set idea has a large amount of votes and is positive by vote ratio it would be displayed on a bord for users to see and then posibaly users could comment on the idea if they want, you would filter out the good ideas from the bad onse, admins are ultimately the desiders if something is added into the game, you guys could get a clear and easy understanding of what the community wants. Admins could also propose ideas if they want, it wouldn't really make a difference.
As as side note, I am proposing this because I personally proposed ideas but they were never taken seriously, if a voting system was implemented into the forums you guys could see what everyone thinks based on the votes, not based on who's posting it or why just the idea and what people think about it.

That's not true. We look at every feedback thread created. Those that are of importance will receive an official staff respond (no, my replies in this thread isn't official since it's my own opinion).

If a thread doesn't receive any, either 1) it's not viable or 2) not of a big importance that we decided it could be looked into at a later time. Also, there are unspoken ways to go about creating a feedback thread that will garner players to look at it and make a post. I think what your feedback thread is lacking is the convincing and value-add factor. All I can see is "add this, that.." etc.

Personally I have created three feedback threads, they received good/bad responses and none had any official staff responding to it. So don't get too beat up about it and assume it's not taken seriously when no one replies. Perhaps look into how you can restructure your thread contents.

P/s: make use of the thread poll if necessary! Some people just like voting on your thread instead of posting.
