MapleRoyals has stopped working error

Hi,

I just started trying to play today after about 2 years of stopped play.

I downloaded your client and have tried to run it on two WS's, but on both of them I get the following error:



I have tried everything in the threads which say to download the MapleRoyalsNoWindowedMode.exe client.

Setting compatibility mode, read only, running as Administrator etc, but I always get the same error.

I have disabled my firewall and AV. Also no luck.

I also tried the lolwut.exe with no luck.

Do you have any suggestions ?

I am running Windows 7 Pro, 64 bit.

Do you have any other programs running at the same time when you start Royals?

 

I only have my browser. Nothing else.

I have tried with nothing else running and the same result.

 

May be a long shot, but have you tried adding it to DEP (Data Execution Prevention) exclusion list?
Used to be the cause of so many of those errors a few years back.

 

Sigh.
I had high hopes that may have been it but I did that and it's still not working.

 

After a couple of tries, you should be able to get in the game. If not after like 10 times, I restarted my pc and booted MapleRoyal again and it worked.

edit: it seems that restarting is a quicker fix
