Would it be possible to implement something like this? Would be nice to be able to sell back our extra or obsolete NX equip back for some value. Sometimes it's hard finding a buyer for a particular NX item, or sometimes you just instant regret the purchase... or sometimes you just accidentally bought an extra equip for yourself for no reason. And as a result of these events, in most cases the extra NX just sit and rot in your cash wardrobe or in your storage mule. It would be really nice to be able to resell them on the cash shop (or regular NPC in exchange for NX cards, can even round off the value) for half of its NX value. Of course, this is barring NX items with expiry dates like pet and shop, or NX item that is scrollable like pet equip. edit: Also barring event NX like Tedtacular Bearington.
I think this was never a thing in official because all items have expiry. But since NX items here are permanent, it'd be something I'd like to see (I have like, probably 12 items I don't use now...) In fact, I vaguely remember there being an NPC in Henesys Market called Garbage Collector or something, which you can basically sell/destroy items of your choice. Perhaps it can be imported from whichever versions of MapleStory it is in, and rescript it to support re-selling of NX items for half of its original price. I’m an unintentional NX hoarder and almost have the entire Cash Shop throughout my characters. Please add
One main obstacle for this suggestion is that it isn't possible to know what the purchase value of the cash item is. This is because the cash shop works based on listings, where items can have their price changed at any time or have multiple listings in the cash shop. Another thing which makes this suggestion somewhat problematic are the special rules that would be required to allow/disallow the selling of certain cash items.
NO! What is WRONG with you?! That's a horrible idea! It's over a week of NX voting to pay for all my eyecandy! A week worth of NX I could be spending on AP Resets for 15m each!
Another issue would be all the hundreds of millions of NX points flooding back into the market as Gachapon tickets and AP Resets...
What if we could trade every NX stuff (not only cloth, but also other random things) into a Coin-kind of ETC. Then create a new NPC that would sell some random NX stuff (i.e TP Rocks, SP Resets, charms) for such coins. The coins could be Tradeable (because the NX are) but the stuff from that NPC would be not (if you buy something it would be for your own use). The stuff in the NPC could be changed from time to time too. Let's say, if there is a server check once a month, they would change the sales once a month. That way, some people would like to save coins to see what's coming next.
