Ok, so I've pretty much every similar thread and nothing I try works. I really want to play the game but I can't download it because there's a "virus" in it. Has anyone else been able to fix this problem?
Depends on what exactly is blocking the download. Browser or virus protection? Easiest way to figure out a fix would be to google something along the lines of "Google Chrome is blocking my downloads" or whatever program it is.
Everything. I've tried every browser, turning off all security settings as well as turning off any virus protection. The "trojan" is in Win32/Mapstosteal.
Then you still have some virus protection active and blocking it. Does it not say what is blocking it?
Disabled and/or uninstall your anti-virus protection. If you have programs similar to Malwarebytes AntiMalware and Microsoft Security Essentials, add exceptions to your destination folder so the download does not get deleted or interrupted. I would try to redownload the client from another source, here are alternative links to the download.
