So, I'm interested in making a paladin, but after some research, it looks like that nobody wants to party with them and that they are rather weak... So I want an up to date response on this matter: are paladins really that bad? Thanks
I have a 135 Pally - as far as damage goes, yes we are probably weaker than other classes, but at the end of the day it's down to what class you enjoy using and what skills you like to use. I think it's loads of fun and finding people to party with shouldn't be too hard as long as the people are nice. Also FYI - the next patch at end of Feb./Early Mar will have some buffs to Pallys as well.
If you put in the funding most people dump into heroes and other classes, you won't be terrible. There will be times you aren't great, like on neutral bosses, but you should be able to have a field day at things like Krex. Once you max blast and ACB, your damage increases quite a bit in 4th job.
This version of the game is easy enough to where party composition really doesn't matter. Play what you want.
Paladin is supposed to get buffed in the next update. Right now it's weak but it might be decent after the buff
