As everyone knows,you have to hit Lovestruck King Slime enough times to receive a present(like 150 or so).But it happened to lots of people that they weren't able to reach the requirement of receiving a present even though they hit Lovestruck King Slime quite actively. There are some ways I could come up with possible to be done to solve this issue: 1.Increasing Lovestruck King Slime's HP 2.Reducing the times you have to hit to receive a present 3.Reducing the capability of every map Lovestruck King Slime spawns Will be glad if my suggestion can work out
There are 20 channels for a reason. If you want to get the killing part done quickly, enter the lower CH early and use a faster weapon like Fruit Knife from lith harbor. If you think you won't land 150 hits in time or know your client is laggy, goto a vacant channel like CH5 upward. You will have plenty of time to land 150 hits then wait for other people to arrive. Currently I don't see any problem with the hit requirement or the HP of the slime because everyone has equal opportunity.
I'm 99% sure the hit count is messed up. I have been attacking with my NL for around 8 minutes straight from 90% of slimes hp and it told me I DID NOT PARTICIPATE ENOUGH. Happened to me 2 times now where I spent 10+ minutes atacking the slime and somehow it didn't count. Edit: Yeah I always kill on ch 6 upwards to make sure I land enough hits. PS. Hit count is a great idea. Everyone is attacking the slime and we're all happy. Just make sure hit count is working properly.
Dave did you have enough stars if you were using a claw? Were you within the range of the throwing distance? Did you not stay in same position for 8min? If you were using a melee weapon, did you check if you were within the melee range? Did you have etc space?
If the map is full of people and Slime is below 30% HP, go out and choose another channel, I currently don't see any problem with the Slime.
Can any gm provide information that how much HP does Lovestruck King Slime have and the capability of a map?
If the slime has under 50% hp, I'd just look for another one. pls stop doing these event bosses I hate them
I've found only one big issue so far on going to slime. It's a small boss (in size) for too many people, it's hard to see if you're actually hitting it (melee) or not. If there was a way to make it as big as the anniversary cake, i'd be happy.
maybe the counter for number of hits should stack? like if u hit 100 hits in one channel n then the slime died so u don't get a present, u can get a present by hitting another 50 in another channel?
It'd be nice if the counter was lowered back to say 10 but it either resets or warps you out if it's been somewhere between 20-60 seconds since you last hit the mob. If you guys can get mapowner to work similar maybe this can work too? Also dispelling summons upon entering and maybe making the slime larger so you can actually see where it is. Alternatively, give us a ranged weapon that works with special ammo like the mitten and snowballs from Christmas events so those of us that aren't ranged can at least hit it with some confidence. I mean Cupid uses a bow, so why not us?
Yeah, mainly a visual issue: so many people, most with gigantic NX (& some summon) effects, make it very hard to see the Slime at all. When on a melee character I just swing wherever the writhing human pile is the biggest. Though often it turns out I've been swatting air, and have to leave empty handed. However: not a single problem with the ranged ones. So bigger boss and/or NX turned off on the map might help? (The side effect of seeing chars "au naturel" might be interesting too. ) Btw, really like events like these: equal opportunity, and nice prizes. Being mapowner on a lvl 41 char is funny.
Yes this. Let the picture does the talking. When it moves around, we wouldn't even be able to see its antenna (which is already not easy to be spotted from my SS above) due to the damage stacking up from multiple sources and blocking it. In fact the only way to know where the boss is, is to keep track of where the damages are. However, even this isn't a 100% method to ensure you're hitting it, because it knocks you back sometimes and that keeps you away from the boss, and amidst the numerous players in the same map, it can be very difficult to keep track of where your avatar is, making you lose out several number of hits throughout the process. It would be great if the boss size could be slightly increased, making it visible from its head top up.
Also block weather effects. I just had the pleasure of getting into a channel at 100% only to not get a present even though I attacked the whole time because my screen was blocked by firecrackers.
There is still enough time for the devs to do something about this. At the early times (Asian-mostly playing times), all the slime channels are killed in 10-ish minutes. I've been able to kill only 6 slimes so far, since the event started. There is only 20 days more, so i'll probably have no enough time to get it. Increase the slime HP, and maybe it's size too (so melees can find it easier) I wouldn't mind taking 10 minutes to kill it, if I at least could get the presents.
This is the solution. I never missed a present after getting this baby, even on populated channels like Ch1, 2, 3. Thanks for the suggestion
I use the fruit knives on both mages. I used 4 characters including a MM and a DK. Was 3rd to get in the map,ch 16,still wasn't a full map until 30%,finished at 50%, counted over 200 on each one,and got absolutely nothing. But I think my situation is different as I have a feeling someone did it on purpose for a reason a few hours ago. I can see maybe 1 not getting the reward. ( But I surely doubt it) But all 4 ? Come on. Something fishy is going on here.
