What if someone, other than you, were to maliciously use your username to vote for NX in an attempt to get you banned or frame you?
I wonder about this because there's no login required in order to vote for NX. You simply input a username.
To me, this seems like a potential security problem. Let's say you voted for NX, less than 24 hours had passed, and some random guy guessed your username and input it to vote for NX. Would you get banned?
I realize this seems very unlikely, but it could turn out to be a bit more likely if you had a bad breakup or falling out with someone who happened to know your username.
Is it possible to have mandatory logins before voting for NX to avoid this potential security problem? Or am I missing something.

Also I was wondering if these statements are correct in regards to NX voting rules:
    *EDITED OUT as incorrect

    Thanks.

Voting rules can be found in this thread: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/voting-rules.15580/ (If you have questions about them, ask here!)

If you really do believe somebody knows your username, you should request a username change right away to avoid an account breach. Users should already be making account security a top priority to avoid instances where people can gain access to it (i.e. account info in forum name, same account info used for other games, posting screenshots that give it away).

To answer your question about that specific scenario, if one were to be voting from a different IP with your username, you would get a "this account has already voted" message. This calls for an immediate post to Character Issues so an admin can check your case out for you. I'd imagine there would be cases where people share account information (a bannable offense in itself) then someone gets back-stabbed as you described. This "victim" plays it like they've done nothing wrong when in fact they've shared their account info to begin with. Bottom line, to avoid issues make sure to report irregularities right away, and do request a username change if you've accidentally posted it somewhere. ^.^

Oh I see. I incorrectly assumed that it was possible for two different IPs and devices to vote for the same username in less than 24 hours.
It's not even possible then. That's good. And yeah, like you said, if it did happen, I'll report it.
    Thanks!

This seems to be the more accurate set of statements then:
-A MapleRoyals account will be unable to vote for NX for 24 hours after voting, even if using different devices(mac addresses) and different IP addresses.

-Multiple MapleRoyals accounts will be unable to vote for NX from the same IP address within less than 24 hours.

-A MapleRoyals account that has last logged into the game using the same device(mac address) as another Maple Royals account will be unable to vote for NX if one of said MapleRoyals accounts has already voted for NX in the last 24 hours.

-A MapleRoyals account that has ever shared the same IP address as another MapleRoyals account is still able vote for NX using a different IP address and device(mac address), even if the other MapleRoyals account has already voted in the last 24 hours.
However, said MapleRoyals accounts must have last logged into the game with said different IP address, and different device(mac address) before voting for NX with said different IP address, and device(mac address). Otherwise, all mentioned MapleRoyals accounts that once shared an IP address will be suspected of belonging to the same owner, and all mentioned MapleRoyals accounts will likely be banned.
The exception to this rule is if all mentioned MapleRoyals accounts that had shared an IP address had already gotten their accounts whitelisted, in which case, they would be exempt from being banned even if voting for NX from another device(mac address) and IP address prior to logging into the game with said different device(mac address) and IP address.
