Hello ~ Am giving a suggestion to remove Toad Jump Quest. Or either that we could make it like zakum jump quest, after completing one time we are allowed to enter the toad boss without needing to jump it every single day. As you all know , toad hits for quite high damage. Many parties have to Duo client a HS or HB mule or maybe even a SE mule just to enter toad. And that would means jumping that JQ 2-3 times a day. I find that it is really time consuming, and for people (MANY people in fact) , they are not good at jump quest and thus have given up on doing toad at all after failing to complete the JQ even after spending 2 hours on it. Not everybody is good at doing JQ and i feel that this part can be adjusted to cater to many. Even if not one complete = free entry lifetime, maybe we can do like, after completing one time we get 5-10 tickets of free entry. Please give this a serious thought . Thank you for reading Moderator note: Implemented a way to skip the JQ by paying a fee.
Your ending proposal does sound pretty appealing, but for the mean time maybe this guide can help you. It changed my life forever!
Make an NPC at the beginning of the map that offer to warp you to the boss map for a fee of 30m. 30m per bosser daily. Ez meso sink.
I spent about 7 hours when I first attempted zak jq but now I get it done with a single attempt ~5min. Toad jq was also a challenge but there are specific patterns which anyone can easily learn once shown by others. Toad jq takes me around 3min nowdays after realizing the patterns. If the player is utterly hopeless at JQ reaction wise, maybe an alternative quest can be implemented like Zak prequest? For e.g collecting hundreds of etc within ninja castle for entry.
Yes, i feel that something should be done to help those that are bad at JQ. Many dont even do toad because they really suck at jumping .
I can do the JQ. I just take about 15-20min for it . But there are some people who can't even get it done even after 2-4 hours. And thats pretty sad it makes toad party so hard to find because many dont wanna do the JQ
I agree that JQ is disturbing, and I'd just skip going toad because of that. You could avoid having mules there tho, having to do a prequest like zakum has, but with higher level requirement, and then skipping the JQ after doing that quest. That quest could give a certain number of etc (i.e the zakum 5 eyes of fire), with which you'd be able to tp from that npc to the boss. So you would have to do the quest again for more.
I know having buff mules is a big thing in a p.server. I have them too. But I believe some bosses should make us need to bring real players instead. Even HT, that was supposed to be the strongest/hardest boss, people fight with a dozen mules. They made a nice change to make Pally useful, but guess what, they made it a new mule, just like the others.
great. lets make that the bosses that aren't a only dps sponge that basically requires hb for the majority of non warriors to do.
I personally don't agree with removing the JQ, at first it also took me around 30 minutes and I almost wanted to just give up and never go back to Toad again, but now it takes me ~2 minutes per character after I figured out my own way to do the JQ. Toad is completely optional after all, it's not providing a core item (i.e zakum helmet or horntail pendant for most jobs).
Yea it doesnt provide a core item, but as everybody knows toad is lvl 175 requirement for exp. And as the higher level you are you would wanna do toad for that extra exp because its gets increasingly hard to level. You can only do 2 HT, 2 krex and 2 Zakum a day. Anegos and Samurai are widely hunted by a lot so most people can't really scan them unless they have 24/7 a day to camp at that area. If being bad at JQ takes off the option of being able to go toad for that exp it puts a lot of players at disadvantage as i said not everybody is good at JQ or will get good at it. There are many people i know that has been doing toad many times and yet still take nearly an hour at the JQ. You might not need to remove the whole JQ, but option like doing one time JQ get five ticket or ten tickets is good enough so people dont have to do the JQ everyday, and it will encourage more players to start toad because they dont have to do JQ everyday. And as for lvl requirement and prequest to toad i personally dont agree with them, even tho this server has many players, how many can you actually find to toad at anybody specific time, for myself everytime i wanna toad i can't find a DK at all. So it becomes a must to bring my own HB mule inside. And i believe that is true with some other people as well where they have to either HB mule, SE mule because they can't find anybody. At 175+ and above you would wanna trio or quad toad as it gives more exp as well. Wish the GM take this into serious consideration.
Compared to CWKPQ, I think it's a tiny thing. For general players, 2 zak, 2 Krex, 2 HT (and also 1 Grandpa), it takes at least 5-6 hrs to finish them all. And also, toad still bugs now. All the damages from Castellan and Castellan Toad are Weapon Damage! I remembered Toad's magic damage should be more than 22K. There should not be so many ppl being able to do Toad. In my opinion, JQ is an important part in MS, isn't it? (I don't think it needs so many efforts to change the system.)
Well, im not saying to remove the whole JQ. But jumping 1 time getting 5 tickets sounds reasonable yes? People will still have to do the JQ to get the tickets to go toad.
umm... I don't know what staffs see these demands as. It only benefits several ppl to change the codes. The most important is: most of them are unable to do "real" toad run. (with hb, it needs at least 22k hp to survive) Take another for example. My beginner can't try to solo Lyka because there is no NPC which can help me to finish the quest: Memory Lane. It will help all the beginner class if staff changes the codes. But, as what I have said above, it's a tiny thing cuz there are only some ppl who need it.
On one hand, I understand the frustration of not being able to find toading partners because people can't do the JQ. On the other hand, being able to JQ is one of the few parts of the game that actually requires skill and it's nice that it's rewarded with a phat xp/hp ratio boss.
