I personally wouldn't want it changed, it's nice to have bosses that some people or classes can't do as it forces people to get better or change classes.
I used to do JQ first on my drk while waiting for my pt. When I arrived at the map after JQ, I always logged off and did something else while waiting for the pt to get ready. I relogged right back to the same map . This would make sense as well since if you and your pt went into different channels by mistake, it'll be really unfair if you had to walk all the way from entrance again just for CCing
in the first map after the jq you can relog safely. all maps after that send you back to the beginning. if you could tp tho, i would just jump a mule after a sc an park it there until the next one lol
that would be selfish tho. Because not everybody has a lot of time to play. in the end its about improving the server so that it can be better. It doesnt mean to remove the JQ totally as i said. But getting 1 jump = 5 tickets is a good idea to get more people to start doing toad. A person that is working his ass off and only has limited time to play or people with family restrictions will not be able to spend so much time on game to be "better" even if they want to. I believe this is for the good of many people .
You put in what you get out of this game. I barely have enough time to finish a HT run so I don't even bother trying it anymore. if I want to get better at this game or make more money I have to put in the time, and I don't feel like making things easier to access to save people time in a game that's purpose is to waste time is good for the server. In order for me to fight Showa bosses I have to completely change my class and a brand new ranged class to 170. For Toad all you need to do is to keep getting better at jump quests which should take far less time. I like the prerequisite required to fight a Boss that gives as much exp as it does.
The fact is most of the players in RMS don't even have enough time to finish 2 HT runs. If you want to toad everyday very much, why don't you recruit ppl and do that at a fixed time everyday? What you need to do is to finish the JQ before the fixed time. Just as what resum said, you can log off at the map: Castle Corridor. I believe all of us have tried the JQ for several hours. Why don't you try that?
;-; i already mentioned its not for me.. i'm able to complete JQ in 15min or so.. LOL This post is to help players that can't JQ well..
Is it possible to add an npc at the beginning and end of the JQ? The NPC at the end of the JQ can reward players with 1 ticket but upon accepting that ticket, the player is warped to the beginning of the JQ. The NPC at the beginning of the JQ can accept tickets to warp players to the next map. When players go fight (or try to fight toad), they usually bring multiple characters. If someone is having trouble with the JQ then they could become stressed if they feel they're making their party members wait. Allowing players to complete the JQ on their own time takes some of the stress away. Players could focus solely on the JQ and even enjoy it if they aren't pressed to complete it as quickly as possible.
Decent idea @VitaLemonade but no one is forced to bring multiple clients, if they can't do the JQ within a reasonable time then they either should only bring one client and run with friends who don't mind that, or jump on their mules before they even plan on going to toad. Imo not everything has to be made easier just for the sake of making it easy, it is nice that there is some challenge left in this game.
Seldom comment on forum, but I feel the need to bring up this discussion for serious consideration by the management. Not sure if others agree, but I feel this boss has been under-utilised, judging alone by the number of smega recruiting parties for it as compared with ht, zak and krex. Of course you could argue that toad is popular among small group of pros, and that it is more due to the HP requirement that barred many unwashed characters from participating. But I could equally say that the jq is at least a strong deterring factor. You don’t add an additional end-game content just for the sake of appeasing the veteran players and later terming it as optional without caring about whether it is a popular feature enjoyed by the players. Development time could have been better spent on other areas which more people would fancy. For people saying that one could complete the jq quest while waiting for other party members, what if all others are already in front of the boss just waiting for you the noob in jq. The time/peer pressure just meant every one involved are likely to waste time playing the waiting time. We aint got so much time to waste as grown ups. I am all in for making the jump quest once and for all (i.e. allowing players to skip via npc after they have successfully completed once). It is not like unreasonably asking it to be completely removed, as I agree that it should form part of the challenge and its original design, but repeating the jq every time is simply redundant and unproductive to many’s limited gameplay time. I would draw the analogy to HT where u can get the badge to skip htpq before every battle with the actual boss, not to mention the situation for zak. So why should toad be the exceptional one here? IMO designing alternative quests / entry tickets simply complicate the matter.
