I'm currently downloading the game. I quit the official maplestory server back on v.55, and I really miss it, but a lot has changed there and apparently it has become a p2w game. I'm curious about one thing: I'm 21 years old, am i too old for the game? lol are there older people who play here?
Welcome to Royals! Spoiler The age difference is pretty large but I'd say the mean would be, like yourself, in the early twenties. Many people started playing MapleStory in Elementary through High School, of course with exceptions.. like the 34 year old in our Broa guild playing with his daughter. I'm speculating that *most* players here are players who quit MapleStory in 2009-2010, which is right before the Big Bang Patch hit. The reasoning for this, and the average age being in the early twenties, is simply because it has now been about ~10 years after this version of MapleStory started getting outdated. The mean age here is getting larger each year because this game is simply not appealing to people who weren't old enough to know how to play original MapleStory. Because let's face it, it is quite difficult to get into a complex MMORPG game without some sort of group giving you guidance and tips. A random 15-18 year's skill level here (which would mean they were 6-9 when v62 MapleStory was out 9ish years ago) would be like a grain of sand in the desert compared to those who are already familiar with game mechanics.

Only enough to hit what youre leveling on. If you plan to use a ST (stonetooth) you might need to add more, but I would say most warriors with little funding probably have between 40 and 60 base dex. You can always reset the dex later as you get better gear.
So would 1 dex/lvl until i hit 40 be ok? I'm so rusty, I was going for pirate but pumped it all to str so I had to go warrior lol
Maybe even less. As you get mastery and some levels under your belt, you can probably get a brown dana for acc, or a maple weapon. Id add to 20 or 30 and see how it goes, and if you need more acc, add some more dex. The number I gave before was talking higher levels who go non-dexless. If that makes sense.
LoF, your post was on pointttttt. I’m 24 myself and quit for those same reasons. When I try to play global MS I meet nothing but little children who just want free stuff lol. I’ve noticed most the older group cling to PServers and I love that. We truly know the old maple and lived through those golden years. So to the OP, you’re not too old! You’ve found yourself in just the right community xD
Hey bud, I'm 26 and having fun like the early days. You are as old as you feel and joining maple is is for me like getting backward in time and feeling such younger. Great to see you around Cheers Snufs
Most people here are around your age or older, since the sole reason they're here is to relive part of their childhood! No 14 year old is going to wake up tomorrow and find out about this game so you sort of already need to know about it to even find this place. Welcome, though!
