Hey guys, I came back to play today and I would like to make a warrior as my first class. was in doubt between Hero and DrK. I have 100m to start, do you think it can be very bad to start as a warrior? they are my favorite class. or would you recommend me another class? Will I have a hard time bouncing because of accuracy? Where do I drop maple weapons?
Go spearman/dragon knight/dark knight. Arguably the strongest 3rd job class, which means you will have the easy time lvling not buying leech. You can wash to 18750 hp with no base int, no funds, and cheap int gear. Just put them on before you level to gain a few extra mp for washing. Cheapest job to reach 30k. You can get free zhelm by providing hyper body at lv 50, so be sure to max it before or right at 50. Getting zhelm at 50 is also essential for hp washing so be sure you grab a helm. Go hybrid build instead of pure spear. Polearm is stronger and better at grinding than spear before lv 135. You still max all the core skills even if you go hybrid so no reason not to do it. GL
@ImJakeFromStateFarm I'm going to need leech to raise my level? several friends of mine told me to create a magician, because they are the strongest classes in the 4th job. what do you think about this ? I really doubt T-T
The key training with unfunded warrior is to train at maps that are flat easy to hit 4+ monsters at all time, and train at monsters lower lvl than you. I'd do: Do warrior stump hunting quest from 10 to like 15 or 16. Go NLC city talk to the mayor for free exp to like almost 20. Go ludi potion shop get warrior potion, speed potion, and accuracy potion. Those are very cheap and very helpful. Train at kerning bubbling for a fish spear or until you can hit wild boars. You can also go showa and buy a fish spear from weapon shop. Fish spear is good because it gives acc. Train at land of the wild boars II until you can hit sand rats, then sand rats till you can hit scorpion, then Iron Mutae, then straw dummies, then coolie zombies or MP3 to 75 or 80, then Wolf spider/ulu2/hime/ToT to 135. Buy from FM will be the easiest because I recommend you train with polearm till 135. Maple polearms are hard to find due to unpopular training location. Look for Maple Scorpio and Maple Karstan https://royals.ms/forum/threads/maple-weapon-drop-list.5425/
Making a mage first to get funding is not a bad idea. My first character on Royals was a Drk. I reach 15x with no fund, no base int, and I washed to 20k (without hb, 30k with hb) with no leech. It's duoable. Definitely slower and harder than leech, but I like playing attacker more than mage so to me it is worth it. (Even though I made 2 AM and 4 HS mules at a later date)
My first character here was a DrK, and I found it a lot of fun. The washing is minimal because of HB, and they have a really strong grind all throughout, IMO.
Just looking often can be deceiving. Crusader from 70 to 12x is a nightmare if you dont buy leech. Even white knight have easier time to grind than crusader in 3rd job IMO.
Drk looks hard to control in bosses with the zerk thing, I see them die a lot. Hero aside from being sed looks really easy
I think that information is a bit too early for the OP. He has limited fund. Making a hero first may limit his end game potential because, putting HP washing is necessary topic aside, almost all end game hero washed to 30k or very close to 30k hp. Also Hero does lower dmg at early to mid 4th job, and the gap closes as you reach end game but drk is still stronger than hero. Sure it's easier to play, but I don't think which character is easier/harder to play is what OP looking for since his main concern is funding. IMO drk has highest end game potential out of all attacking class without funding. You can reach 30k with 4 base int, 4 base dex, and do arguably the highest DPS as a low funded character. The trade off is of course like you said, requires more micromanagement on HP control.
Grinding is more efficient at low lvls, from 90+ leech is almost always faster. Even on my fp mage with the poison frog skill I found leeching it in ulu 2 with my bish faster than training the fp alone (and it gave me more money too cause more drops). Though you could do himes or something I guess
It isn't really hard to get mesos now, just sell AP reset and do some apqs and you get 100m+ every day in like 1 hour In the end I'd just make the class I find more fun
would support a DRK in line with Jake's reasoning as well Joao i don't think you need to make a 4th job mage for now. Play the drk first. Make your 4th job meso making mage mule after you are sure that you're willing to commit the time and enjoy the server.
There is nothing more to say here. The first reply said most of what needs to be said, and the rest of replies are either further arguments for 1st reply's point, or nonsense. If you need any more help along the way as a Spearman -> Dragon Knight -> Dark Knight, don't hesitate to ask. This community is friendly and helpful
