Closed Been Hacked.

Problem: I've been hacked, they took everything but the useless/untradeable stuff.
Details: Noticed a few days ago that the NX I accumulated was down in count, but I honestly thought it was just a bug with the website. I decided to go on today 4/8/2018 and investigate, and then noticed that my character was naked. Logged into her, everything is gone besides some useless scrolls and NX. Her expensive gear and scrolls are all gone. I don't have a history of sharing my account and I also haven't been active for a while just voting and logging in briefly on my alt (IGN: Misterboogie, which i'm pretty sure got wiped of a few things too.) to spend my NX and gachapon when I get the chance. I assume this hacking occurred within the last two weeks because i'm pretty sure I had my NX a week ago? Please help, despite not being active I was planning to make a new character eventually by selling all those items. If there's no hope, I of course will live lol ..but that's a lot of time invested in these characters gone to waste. Thank you for your time; I appreciate any help given.

Have you used your loginID/password anywhere else? Maybe other private servers.

 

I've played other popular private servers, used the same password like i do with many things. I haven't been on them for a while, so i'm not entirely sure what usernames I used. Maybe the same one here and there.

 

Well, that's probably how you got hacked.
On here they don't give refunds to people who got hacked did to their own poor account security.

 

Woah woah, you're jumping the ball here. Like you said it's a "probably", so we don't know that for sure, and i'd like to have a response from an actual staff member please. Someone who can do some actual research for me. Also the private servers are ElliniaMS & MapleLegends, two popular, less sketchy servers compared to the 100's of others. And like I said, the info I used for them was not to my memory entirely the same as this server. I also played those servers for like two seconds, probably around a week conjoined in total. And that was a long time ago, before the new source started on this server.

 

Whatever floats your boat, but i doubt a staff member will give you a different response.

 

Even though those servers you mentioned are "less sketchy", it doesn't mean there is zero risk of your account info being compromised. That's why it's always good to have separate credentials on different platforms.

 

Ok but, is there really no hope at all for my account? We don't know for sure if that's the reason or not. Can't there be any research done? Anything to help me?

Sorry to bump this so much, but could a staff member please check this out for me? I need a definite answer on this issue and not an assumption on what could've caused this. Not to sound haughty in anyway, but I put money and time into this server and my characters. And i'd hate to see that go to waste.

 

I don't see anything that indicates you having been hacked which makes this a lot less straightforward, and complicated.
I can't give you any proper estimate, but this is slowly being looked into, there's quite a lot of logs and backups that needs going over, and it will take some time, as we are a bit low on time with the coming updates.

We haven't been able to confirm what exactly happened in your case, and for that we will refund you the lost items.

Omgosh thank you so much! T_T I was on the verge of forever quitting! Everything seems right, I was taking a little break when this all happened so i'm a little unsure about everything that was lost. All I knew was that there was a whole lot gone. I was mostly worried about my equips, so having the daggers back makes me happy. The only other character I wish for you to look into is MisterBoogie on the same account as Twaddle. I've been using him as a mule so there might have been some items lost from him too. Also was there any siting of a White scroll or Chaos scroll on these two characters around the time everything vanished? I think I had one not too long ago but I could be wrong. If not, its no problem at all! But yea besides all that i'm 100% content to be back to normal and thank you so much for the help!

As for your question, no, there are not any WS/CS on any of your characters.

It's going to take me some time to create and prepare these items, the best solution would be for you to come online on one of your characters and I simply trade you the items. I will be giving you the mesos during a server check.
