Maybe I'm just stupid and missing something, but I don't understand how I'm suppose to run the game after installing it. I didn't see a launcher or client for the game in the download section, so I assumed it was packed inside the MapleRoyalsSetup.exe and would just be installed along with the game, but when I looked inside the MapleRoyals folder, the only executables there are ASPLnchr, Patcher and Setup, so how do I actually run the game?
You have to make an exception for your anti virus program, so the folder will be ignored by it. Because the MapleRoyals.exe is treated as a virus by most of these programs.
I don't have a file called MapleRoyals.Exe. Is that the client to run the game? Where do I get it from? Like I said, the only exe I have in my folder after installation is Setup, Patcher and ASPLnchr, and there isn't a client in the download section of the homepage. Or are you telling me MapleRoyalsSetup.exe works as the client?
If you don't have MapleRoyals.exe, means your antivirus removed it. You have to turn off your antivirus first, reinstall the game (using MapleRoyalsSetup.exe), then add MapleRoyals.exe to your antivirus' list of exceptions. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/making-mapleroyals-an-exception-in-windows-defender.103839/
Before you re-install the stuff you can also check if you anti virus system has a Quarantine where you can manually restore your .exe-file Otherwise read above link
