Info Progress Update 11th April

Idk why but almost EVERYONE is sympathetic when NLs have to rely on hyper body for bosses so people want and love hp washing like it's a drug. It's the natural order of things to give one of the best classes the ability to nullify their biggest weakness.

In another thread I said to give one of the worst classes paladins 100% stance and i was told it would be too over powered.

No warriors beat showa bosses, no sympathy or solution cause ranged classes get all the stuff.

 

Why do you blame the hp washers who are just trying to meet the demands of bossing parties? Of course with HB its cheaper but the current standard is that you must be able to survive without HB in order to even be invited to party. So unless you want to exclusively grind lvl 90-200, the only option is to either make a different class or save up 8bil+ for the big wash.
And also consider the common late hp washing realization that causes so many new players to quit.

 

Read my post right before the one you quoted The issue is that players (new and old) are trying to boss without HB in the first place. If that's your goal, expect to spend the time and mesos needed to attain it. If not, bring HB and you're good to go. Players should adopt the mentality that if you don't wanna wash excessively you need to bring HB, and if you wanna wash excessively it takes a lot of time and mesos.

 

Lol who cares about your effort, it was your choice to wash. Nobody forced you to do it so you can't complain afterwards.
It's like saying 4th job should have never came because people worked hard on getting to level 170 with a hermit and now new mages can level easily lol.

 

I rarely even do HT on this character anymore cause I don't get exp so I'm not sure what you're talking about. And you can survive sed with 7k.
I'm talking about the server in general, do you think it's logical people would have to skip all of the early game by leeching and later rely on glitch abuse (hp wash) to be able to do anything?
I don't see how this system benefits the server at all, and you see it for a fact that the server is declining in population

 

It's also finals season, and a few well known players leaving a dying server it does not make.

My point is you can't say it's X any more than I can say it's Y.

 

I've seen many new players who quit because of washing or tried to save money and eventually gave up and lost motivation. So you can't really say it's healthy for the server.
In old source it wasn't that extreme, you could still grind and do PQs and the hp requirements weren't that high either.
Now with the nerf to PQs and higher HP requirements leeching has become the norm and you see things like lvl 40 leech and split leech that rarely ever existed before.

Also you whine about every feedback/suggestion/update post so why are you making a comment about other people complaining. I don't think I've ever seen you make a helpful or constructive post, you try to belittle other people, and you pull the veteran elite card every chance you get. You're honestly a sad human.

 

Hey, if less hp washing means more people can join bosses later in the game then that's fine by me. Folk already have gear to worry about do doing some less busy work to get more hp sounds good. I dunno if this is the correct way to do it or not but that's what testing is for I suppose.

 

We could scale this to HP gained per level.

That way classes such as buccaneer can get a fair advantage as well.

 

Any update on when this would be released? I'm very much waiting to delete a character and start fresh

 

Since login server improvements (char deletion, PIC, channel population indicator, etc.) are scheduled for the next update, you can use the ETA above.

It was a week ago when he said "the week after the next one". Starting from now, the ETA is sometime in the next week, "assuming everything goes as planned".

Don't count too much on it though, as things may not go as planned

Good actually, most of the stuffs are already working, but Kevin faced some hiccups in one of the feature that deals with connections. Once that's done, we will have it tested.

 

Any news on changes to Petri and/or nerfing AM? Seeing posts discussing this frequently. As I just created my FP and sold most of my attacking gears I'm slightly worried.

Just curious here.. why do we have to wait for everything to be done for a release? If, say, character deletion, PIC and the Easter Event are already done and ready, wouldn’t it make sense to just release things as they’re finished instead of putting it all off until something else is done too? This would satisfy a lot more players and keep us from having to wait extended periods for any sort of release. I’m sure most of us would be totally cool with getting some of the stuff now and the rest in a week or however long it takes to finish. Bundling it all together only makes sense if it’s all able to be done in a timely fashion, which clearly isn’t the case (absolutely no offence intended, Kevin does a fantastic job and I appreciate everything he does for us). The “finished” things that I listed was purely for example sake, I wasn’t implying that is what is done; only trying to explain my point of view in that it would make sense to release things as they’re finished rather than all at once.
