So for some reason I see most people do head C before they kill head A and I don't really see why. Head A is far more dangerous than head C as it deals more than 5k damage and can 1 hit bishops after dispel, while head C only hits around 2400 damage and can be easily tanked if you wear some HP gear (due to elemental resistance reducing magic damage by half, while head A have physical ice damage that isn't affected by this skill) That means that you can survive head b/c damage after dispel but if A is still alive whether you die or not is based on luck alone (even if you spam mg you can die or get seal+dispel) unless you washed to more than 5k hp or something. Also often while A still have high HP head B already starts mass dispel so it's even more dangerous. Yet when I tell parties they keep being stubborn and always do head C instead
Defeating Horntail requires party cooperation, there is not only a way to defeat Horntail. Is doing Head A before Head C absolutely correct? No.Is doing Head C before Head A absolutely wrong? No neither. If everyone decides to kill Head C before Head A except you,who is the stubborn one? Spoiler I prefer to kill Head C first. Reasons: 1.After leg and tail are dead, melees move to right side to kill wing/right hand since right hand doesn't cast dispel like what left hand does, the whole party can get quicker rebuffs if ranged attackers kill HT from right side with melees. 2.Seduce target will suffer double seduces if party is separate.
There's no correct way to kill the heads in order. Killing A or C first doesn't matter and it's a matter of preference of the party. My reason to prefer C is, C does 1/1 damage very frequently which risks sed mules by a lot as well as can potentially hurt regular attackers as well (when pets fail us) When A only does stable damage which won't risk anyone under normal conditions. Also yes, A's attack can kill bishops after dispel if bishops are not careful but the odds of reaching dispel stage on B before killing A is also pretty low and I don't think that needs to be taken into consideration. EDIT: I also prefer going B after A as they're both on the same side and no need to cross an extra time and reset the sed timer ..
Just to maximise dps, If you have a hero in ur team, you want to start with head C as hero will be attacking over there, and you dont want to have people on both sides all the time to avoid 2x seduce. If there's no hero, you generally want to start with A, but it doesnt really matter unless your pt has alot of mules without stance, in which case A side would make life easier
My entire circle of friends has always killed A first while sending the occasional warrior to fight C/Arm/Wing alone if we ever happen to have one so hearing that people commonly do it the opposite way is odd to me.
As someone who exclusively played warrior at HT with some bishop muling, I prefer this way too. Maximizes my time hitting three targets and my usefulness at HT. But bad things can happen if I use 3 apples and the rest if the party is slow.
