I originally started out with a normal NL and got him to level 73 before everyone kept telling me it was crucial to HP wash for certain bosses, so I'm starting over again and could use some guidance on HP washing.

I understand the concept of it, I'm just confused on what level to get my INT to, when to pull it out, when do I allocate my AP points into INT and when do I use it to wash, etc. I would really appreciate if someone could provide for me a guide on what levels I should be allocating my AP points.

My target HP goal is 12,000. Currently, I'm a lvl 14 rogue with 25 dex, 57 int (subject to change).

I did a calculation for you using the calculator, assuming:
    • You don't have Maple Warrior and INT Gears while leveling up.
    • You reset your base INT at LV135 so you can start bossing then.
    • You want to reach your HP goal at LV155, which is the level to start doing bosses that require HP washing (HT, and Toad later).

I played with the target base INT to achieve lowest cost under the conditions above.
    • If you have Maple Warrior and / or INT gears while leveling up, you can achieve the same HP goal with less cost, or achieve a higher HP goal with the same cost. However, I would recommend you do the modified calculations yourself, using the image above as an example. If you are investing 10+ billion into something, it's better to completely understand how it works anyway.
The calculator is quite clear about what you need to do:
    • From LV 1 - 49, you need to put all fresh AP into INT, except the 25 DEX required for 1st job advance.
      • You are already halfway through this part by leveling to LV17 and going full INT.
    • From LV125 - 135, you need to do MP washing: add fresh AP to MP, then use AP reset to -MP +STAT (DEX/LUK). You need to do this 50 times.
    • In all of the other levels, you convert the extra MP (gained from leveling up with INT and MP washing) to HP, using the method "add fresh AP to HP, then use AP reset to -MP +DEX/LUK"
      • As the calculator said, you need to do this kind of washing 341 times.
      • Although there are more than 341 fresh AP to be gained between LV49 and LV125 (in fact, there are 385 fresh AP between these levels), you cannot finish washing before LV125, because a large portion of your extra MP is gained through MP washing between LV125 and LV135.
      • In that case, you can save some fresh AP before LV125 and do the MP->HP conversion after MP washing between LV125 and LV135. Or you can add fresh AP directly to LUK / DEX when you don't have enough extra MP before LV125, and use fresh AP after LV135 to do the MP->HP conversion (after you finish MP washing at LV135).

An alternative is to do the 50 MP washes from LV49 to LV59, since the effect of MP washing only depends on base INT, and you already have all your base INT by LV49. This will give you lots of extra MP in the early levels and allow you to wash early (instead of waiting after you are done with MP washing at LV135 in the original plan). If you know about HP washing well enough to understand what I am talking about here, you can follow this alternative plan. Otherwise just stick to the original plan above.

Thank you so much, I would kiss you if you were in front of me.

I do have MW10, and approximately +40 INT in gear, so I will try to play around with the calculator.

After counting in the MW10 and +40 INT gear, you can either stick to the original plan above and achieve 12800 HP at LV155:

Or you can still achieve 12,000 HP at LV155 while only adding base INT to 220 (instead of 230), and only do MP washing for 7 levels (instead of 10 levels). This saves you 25 AP resets compared to the original plan.

By the way, you are going to do 2nd job advancement with full INT. You can pass it by wearing LUK earrings, LUK bathrobe, a scrolled LV9 claw, and heartstoppers.

NL damage is approximately equal to weapon_attack times LUK, so the attack potions like heartstoppers won't do much without LUK equips (earring, bathrobe),
