Before you reach lv 26 you must go through the ritual, stay and train inside the Ant Tunnel for the rest of your Caveman character's life. No other sleepywood maps are allowed. Trading is only allowed between Caveman characters. When forming parties, you may form parties with any character that enters the cave whether they're Caveman or not, as long as they are partied only while in the cave. Note: This is only for level 60 and below. Level 61+ parties are for Cavemen only. You may give items to non-Caveman characters, but Caveman cannot receive items from outside source. No afk leech is allowed. You cannot party with other caveman with level difference greater than 30 while training. HP wash is allowed but discouraged. No multi client Caveman play, and no buff mules allowed. No gachapon. Pets and NX cloth are allowed Return town scrolls are not allowed. You may use the Lounge feature. You may transfer Chairs, Cards and OMOK game set from your non-caveman character to your caveman character. No 4th Job Advance Allowed. Super beginners can buy a weapon of their choice from the weapon store from any of the 5 major town on Victoria Island. Super beginners cannot bring in weapon like fish spear, pumpkin spear that will counter balance the cave meta. However, ONE clean beginner only weapon like Frozen Tuna is allowed. The Caveman Initiation Ritual (CIR) steps: Have another Caveman present or take SS/Video during the CIR process. (Omitted for simplicity) The CIR start at the weapon store in your town, and end when you reached the 24-Hr shop by walking. You may ask a fellow Caveman to escort you throughout the process. Go to your class' town weapon store and purchase any ONE weapon of your choice. You must be able to wear the weapon you bought from NPC without buff or stats from other gear. Spoiler: <Weapon Purchase> You must purchase the clean average stat weapon from the weapon store at the same town you did your job change. You may not keep a scrolled one or a weapon you found Empty your entire inventory and everything on you except the medal, chair, pet, nx item, and the weapon that you purchased in Step 2. You may keep your petfood, 1 set of subi, bullet, 1 stack of arrow, and less than or equal to 1m mesos (1,000,000) on you to enter the cave. Go to sleepywood town, go inside the cave, and walk to the finish line at the 24-HR shop to end the CIR process to become a Caveman! To prepare this journey, the caveman need to collect and prepare to survive outside the cave for an extended period of time. The caveman looked at his inventory, and realized all his food supplies has expired. Spoiler: <Task 1-1: Clean Out All Expired Ingredients> Transfer, NPC, or drop, everything under the ETC tab out of your inventory except your dark crystal ore(s). Take a screenshot for proof. The caveman was told that the outside world are a lot more civilized than the life inside the cave. Spoiler: <Task 2-1: The Walk to the Civilization> Put away your weapon as a civilized person, walk from Sleepywood to Ellinia Station without killing anything, and purchase a boat ride ticket First time boat ride sure is exciting. Civilized world is so much more interesting than life inside the cave. Spoiler: <Task 2-2: The Boat Ride> Take a selfie/ss getting killed by Crimson Balrog After getting injured by a giant flying creature, the caveman is now really scared of the world outside the cave. The caveman decided to eat some magic mushroom, get high, and ease the pain. Spoiler: <Task 2-3: Getting High> Gather Y Poisonous Mushroom from Zombie Mushmom Y=2^(70-Z) Z=70 or your level, whichever is less Spoiler: <If you're a caveman can't do math> If you're level 70, Y = 1 After getting high the caveman gathered enough courage to try the boat ride again to visit the Real Chief in El Nath. Spoiler: <Task 2-4: Visit the Chief> Put the weapon away and walk from Sleepywood to Ellinia, buy a boat ticket, and get to El Nath Chief's Residence by walking. Chapter 3: The Abduction The caveman finally arrived at the Chief's Residence, and found the Real Chief that's smarter than the Chief inside the cave. However, the Real Chief's beloved pet Gecko has been abducted by the Real Chief's evil Little Brother. The Real Chief asked the Caveman to rescue the pet gecko in Door of Dimension. Spoiler: <Task 3-1: The Rescue> Keep the weapon away, walk back to Orbis by climbing up the Orbis tower. Buy a ticket from Orbis and ride the ship back to Victoria Island. The caveman thought that he/she shouldn't fight the Real Chief's evil Little Brother with empty stomach. The caveman need to do a snack break before going to the Door of Dimension to rescue the pet Gecko. Spoiler: <Task 3-2: The Snack Break> Get a selfie/ss getting killed by Snack Bar. The caveman ate the snack as if his/her life was depending on it. With a full stomach, the caveman arrived at the Door of Dimension. Spoiler: <Task 3-3: Defeat the evil Little Brother> Enter the Door of Dimension and defeat the evil Little Brother and rescue the pet Gecko. After defeat the evil Little Brother, the caveman realized the pet Gecko was killed during the heated battle with the evil Little Brother. The caveman picked up the dead Gecko, and start heading back to the El Nath. Spoiler: <Task 3-4: Delivering the Bad News> Gather Y Poisonous Mushroom from Zombie Mushmom because the Real Chief might need it to ease the emotional pain. Y=2^(70-Z) Z=70 or your level, whichever is less Spoiler: <If you're a caveman can't do math> If you're level 70, Y = 1 Spoiler: <Task 3-4: Delivering the Bad News> Trade all the above ingredients and selfie/ss and dark crystal ore(s) to Cave Chief CavemanJake for a refined dark crystal. Walk back to El Nath from Sleepywood with weapon put away after gathering the mushroom. Arrived at the Chief's Residence, the Real Chief and delivered the bad news, the Real Chief ask the caveman to give the Gecko a proper burial at the Holy Ground at the Snowfield. Spoiler: <Task 3-5: Good Bye Pet Gecko> Take the dead Gecko and the Refined Dark Crystal to the Holy Ground at the Snowfield, answered the questions, and return to the Chief's Residence. Chapter 4: Caveman's Determination The Real Chief thanked the caveman for all the help with 3rd job abilities, and asked the caveman to travel around the world with him. However, the caveman just realized the world outside the cave is not as civilized as he thought it would be. The life inside the cave isn't perfect, however the caveman has made up his/her mind to use the new found 3rd job skill to guide other cavemans to improve the way of the cave. Spoiler: <Final Task> Walk back to the cave. Edit: CFR has been omitted from the caveman 3rd job requirements. We will be focusing on figuring out a way to get dark crystal ores to our cavemen. Currently considering making Jr. Boogie Horns exchanged for dark crystal ores provided by a Jr. Master in the guild. Exceptions: You may only leave Ant Tunnel under the following conditions: Death. However you must go back into the cave as soon as you respawned back to Sleepywood. Turning in quest that are activated inside Ant Tunnel only. Getting medals that doesn't require any out-of-cave-time consuming process. Getting the Lv 70 hog. Participating in Events. (Only events that don't make you leave the cave are allowed.) Buying petfood Changing look (hair, eye, face, etc) Doing 3rd job advancement Field Study: The Ant Tunnel provides a very balanced eco system with weapons, armors, and scrolls for each class for all weapons. End game weapons available for each class is up to level 70. BW Page and AXE Fighter are more viable than the most common SWORD Page and Fighter inside the cave. Maple weapons are available but limited to a few classes: staff, BW, Bow and Claw. This encourage people to play the character per original design instead of STR-less/Dex-less/Luk-less build. I think you should allow the trade of Frozen Tuna into the Caveman community because nothing says prehistoric quite like beating things to death with a giant fish. You are allowed to travel within any of the areas from Ant Tunnel 1 and onward. All the way up to Jr. Balrog's map. Everywhere outside of those caves is off-limits unless during certain exceptions such as events, job advancing/grabbing hog, doing zak runs for level 10 skill books, getting medals, or turning in the quests you start in those caves.
I think sauna robe, Sleepywood gachapon, nearest town scroll, and Mr. Oh should be allowed, since Sleepywood immediately abuts the Ant Tunnel complex. If you're going to let people leave to Zak and get hog, none of that is a stretch.
Here is why I made the decision on why I put sauna robe off limit: The design of thr Caveman challenge is to encourage people to play each job per original design of the character and as close to how majority of the players play maple Beta as possible. The goal is to let people to enjoy the game and the community, instead of worry about DPS/DPM, and the range. What I mean is adding both primary and secondary stats instead of pumping all the stats into primary like pure int, pure dex, pure str, pure luk, etc. Sauna robe quest will require lenthy amount of farming outside the cave for cursed eye tails, pig head, diamond ores, and lupin bananas. That will also open the gate way to pure primary build. Of course you can still go for the pure build, but youll be naked since most of the cloth for each job requires secondary stats to wear. I am aware that bow class can still go for the pure dex build and can still wear bowman cloth because they require dex only, and both maple bow and xbow are available inside the ant tunnel, but nothing is perfect right? I guess warrior can go for pure str build too since maple bw and sword are in the cave, but they have acc issue to even hit the weakest monster in the cave, horny mush. They will need dex to farm.
