Random lag + disconnects

While playing, mobs will randomly freeze for 5-10 seconds at a time. During this time I can still run around and hit stuff and then the game will "fast forward" to catch up and all my hits will go through. Sometimes though, the freeze lasts for upwards of 15 seconds before finally disconnecting me.

I initially thought it was just the server, but its happening extremely frequently for me so I started asking people I partied with and some people around the FM and no one seemed to have the same issues as me. My speed test checks out just fine, and I have no such issues with any other servers that I have played on.

I thought that it could be ping, but it doesn't make sense as it doesn't feel like a ping issue. I also have played on servers that are located in Netherlands and have had no issues like this.

I've tried allowing mapleroyals.exe through firewall just in case that was causing lag but that didn't change anything.

Hopefully someone knows a way to fix this.

 

Try loading some web pages while your maplestory is frozen -- That'll help you figure out if its a client issue or an issue with your internet

 

Yeah I have tried doing that. Even when I'm watching Netflix or streams on Twitch there are no stutters or anything, it's exclusively within the game.
