I don't recall Dangerous Sea Gorge II's spawn rate to be so sparse. Back then (pre- new source) it was possible to fill the bottom most floor with quite a few squids, but now there is only max 4~5. Feels much more empty then I remembered . Is it possible to buff the spawn rates in these maps? I really love training in nostalgic places.
While we're on the topic about aqua road mobs, can we revert the gobys aggro back to what it was in old source as well?
Here's a video of Dangerous Sea Gorge II from old source! It used to be a really amazing map. Here's a video from today for comparison
I'm supportive of buffing this area. Perhaps not 54 as we already have too much on our plate. I'll bring this up to the team!
Yeah, if we were to buff the area, we'll buff the entire area (wherever appropriate of cos), not just this map itself.
That special map you need the miniature pianus to enter also has totally garbage spawn now. I got all 40 pieces in one attempt on a night lord in old source. Now you need at least 2 minis even with two archmages nuking everything for you.
What alot of people don't talk about is the fact that basically every single map in the game was nerfed in new source. They adjusted the exp rate to 3.2x because of the exp curve with v.83, but never adjusted the maps to what they were in old source basically inadvertently making it harder for everyone to level. I say we buff all map spawn rates.
Technically the spawn rates were buffed in new source, since the old source had a slower respawn time. The number of mobs per map would be what changed, some maps reduced in count, and some increased. We have also adjusted some popular training maps to be similar to old source already. If you have a suggestion as to further maps that should be buffed, then these should be brought up in a feedback thread like this. But we won't be applying a mass buff to all maps.
The increased mob count basically made up for the slower respawn times which still made it much easier to train on basically any map back in old-source. Ill see what maps have been buffed after the patch on Thursday and make note of what I think should be buffed in another post.
