Hey guys! So I'm trying to make a new warrior class and can't decide between Hero or DK. If you have any good suggestion or recommendation please let me know! Thanks!
Both are pretty close damage wise. DrK have a useful party buff, slightly cheaper HP washing and requires some practice in bosses such as Horntail, Heros are great Seduce target and have a kinda hold 1 button game-play, barely need to pay attention compared to DrK. I have a 200 DrK and a 18x Hero, I would definitely recommend going with DrK! I may have missed some stuff I'll just leave that here: Spoiler
That video is good but I just wanna note that in vast majority of situations, parties do not have SI. Also I did a lot of related math comparing Hero and DRK dmg under varying conditions a few months ago, because the Hero and DRK in the vid have crazy high ATT gear and I wanted to actually quantify the difference. In short my conclusion is that Hero and DRK virtually have the same damage (varies within 5% dps under various conditions that favor one or the other). So, unless you already have insane gear and want to create a character for min-maxing, really just pick the one you like better! Hero is easier to play, has a satisfying feeling of easy power (imo), swords are cool, and you are really tanky. DRKs have a nice luxury party buff (HB) , have a great time leveling in 3rd job, and require more focus to play (can be a pro or con). You can probably tell I am a bit biased towards Hero lol but both are great options.
