Hello, I recently downloaded Royals again after a long hiatus, and was able to launch the game with no problem. That is until it came to selecting my character. I went through with the pop up of 'terms and rules' type of window when logging in, and created a PIN; i then was able to select my character I made from when i first played about a year ago, and was told to create a PIC, so i did. After all of this, i was able to click my character and log in, only to be sent back to the log in screen after a 1-2 second black screen, and was then given the message, 'Unable to connect to the game server'. I have tried multiple channels and the MapleRoyals and MapleRoyalsFullscreen files are already added as an exception to my windows defender firewall. I am eager to play again, and am just wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if it's something specific that I need to look over. Thank you!
I get this error often - after character select, going into / exiting cash shop, and changing channels. I reduced the frequency of this error on windows 10 by changing the exe file properties to Compatibility mode for windows xp sp3, and running as admin. However, I still encounter this error sometimes, and it's so dumb because I've looked around a lot and nobody has good answers to why it's happening or what a solution is. There are tons of posts like this that shows people are having this problem, but nobody has answers (or even responds). I'm pretty close to just quitting private servers in general - all of them i've played had problems whether it be login, dc, rollback, or lag, and there's nothing you can do about it.
