I've tried everything with all the knowledge I have at the moment, and I still cannot get myself to HT reliably. My Computer Specs that may be relevant to this issue are: - Desktop - GTX 1080 Ti - Ryzen 7 1700x - SX7000 M.2 SSD - 3440 x 1440 Ultrawide Monitor The forums links I've tried to use are: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/how...graphical-glitches-closing-your-client.16643/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/crashing-in-bosses.124196/#post-719416 https://royals.ms/forum/threads/zakum-horntail-disconnect-issues-using-vmware.23442/ I have tried to GFX, with all the recommended settings that many people have told me so far (Run with Win7 compat, run with Service Pack 2 compat), and they have not helped. I tend to DC 1/3 of the time as of now, almost always after tail is gone and we move to head A or C. I have also tried to use Tim's VMWare guide to run HT (with his exact specs), but many times when I take a portal or forced out of a room (Golden Pig Event, Horntail Guard teleport, etc), I will DC. Also, if I am in a party and I am buffed, I will dc. I've tried VMWare in both XP and Win7. If you need video evidence of this please let me know, the file is big (~70MB) and I don't want to use server resources. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the biggest issue is that because AMD Core doesn't have an integrated graphics card, VMWare will not work. I also cannot HT using regular settings because of this. What else can I do? I've played this game on and off for 3 years -- I don't want to give it up now. It feels so frustrating because I have tried to do everything in my power to get this right, but I have nothing to show for it. ----------------------------- P.S., Does anyone use a laptop whose model is easily purchasable, fairly inexpensive and that doesn't have HT/Zak graphical errors? I will save up money to buy a new Laptop if there is nothing else I can do.
Since you don't have onboard graphics with that CPU, my best suggestion is to add another small Radeon graphics card to your build. You can usually get one for $30-50 in great or new condition. Disable your NVidia card when playing Royals and use the Radeon card. I have never had an issue when playing with an AMD graphics chip, but when I briefly switched to NVidia, I had graphical artifacting issues a lot. As for a laptop, most anything dual core with 4 GB of RAM or more will run the game fine. Just be sure to buy something with an Intel graphics chip or integrated CPU graphics (either Intel or AMD), and just wholly avoid NVidia chips.
Did u ever update your vmware when you tried it? Because when it updates it becomes shit, you should always use the v6 one from tims guide and never update it. Integrated graphics has nothing to do with vmware working or not I have a ryzen without integrated graphics as well and vmware works fine for me. iirc, my vmware had some lag when i first set it up as well before i enabled virtualization i might be wrong about this but that might also be worth looking into before you go out and buy a laptop or another graphics card.
@lildustd lol if I figure anything out I'll discord you so we don't have to only leeg >.< What are your specs? Do you also have an AMD CPU / Nvidia GPU? @Muff Gotcha, thanks for the suggestion. I'm not sure how I could add a different graphics card without having compatibility issues with my other graphics card (since there is only SLI/Crossfire and iirc they don't support two different brands) but if this will give me 100% HT rate, I don't mind just taking out the 1080 ti or selling it for a rx 580. Thank you for the laptop recommendation as well! @Hampa ! I never thought updating the vmware would cause issues. I don't think it was mentioned in the guides... or maybe I didn't read the guide carefully enough. I'm going to retry on both XP and Win7. Thank you so much for letting me know about this! I will let you know how it goes.
I don't think it is mentioned in the guide, I'm not even sure if this is a problem for everyone but I know some people have had issues with the updated versions myself included.
Most any mainboard will allow you to run two different graphics cards, but usually not at the same time. So if you disable your Nvidia card, your onboard graphics would usually pick up the display duties. But with a Ryzen you don't get onboard graphics, so you need to supplement it with another AMD card.
@Muff Understood, will try that. Just did my first HT and it was good with VMWare, so I'm feeling hopeful :3 I will keep you all posted!
