Scrolling is the only way to be able to get those godly ranges, it is a very important part of the game, and involves a huge risk. Do you go for the safer option, that offers less of a reward? or maybe the more dangerous option, offering a much larger reward?

In this "guide" I aim to give you as much information as possible, rather than tell you what to do, so that you can decide how you would like to approach the way you scroll your items. A lot of this information will be useless, but some of it may help you decide if you want to go for another 30%, or maybe switch to 60% etc.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the difference between the 4 scrolls?

For those of you who do not know, there are two types of scrolls(excluding event, white, chaos etc), dark scrolls, and normal scrolls. Dark scrolls contain the 30%, and 70% scrolls, and normal scrolls contain the 10%, and 60% scrolls. Dark scrolls offer the exact same rewards as a normal scroll, for a better chance, 30% instead of 10%, and 70% instead of 60%. However, if the dark scroll fails, it will have a 50% chance to destroy the item. This means that 30% scrolls have a 35% chance to destroy an item, and 70% scrolls have a 15% chance to destroy an item. This is where things get interesting, and allow you to play around with how you want to scroll your items.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Weapons scrolling

    Scrolling a weapon with a 10%/30% scroll for m-att/w-att will give it +5 m-att/w-att.
    Scrolling a weapon with a 60%/70% scroll for m-att/w-att will give it +2 m-att/w-att.
This effectively means that a 10%/30% scroll is worth 2.5 60%/70% scrolls, especially since weapons can only be scrolled 7 times. We will call 60%/70% scrolls 2nd tier scrolls, and 10%/30% scrolls 1st tier scrolls. Fully scrolling a weapon with 2nd tier scrolls with give you +14 att, while fully scrolling it with 1st tier scrolls will give it +35 att. However, without any white scrolls, that can be very difficult. Now before we start mixing things up, lets take a look at some statistics
Lets calculate the chances for each individual scroll, using a simple P^N equation.

The chance of fully scrolling a weapon using 10% scrolls is 100* 0.1^7 = 0.00001% This is extremely rare, 1 in 10,000,000 times will you manage to fully scroll a weapon with 10% scrolls.
The chance of fully scrolling a weapon using 60% scrolls is 100* 0.6^7= 2.8% This is not too bad, statistically you should manage to achieve a fully scrolled weapon using 60% scrolls once every 35-36 tries.
The chances of fully scrolling a weapon using 30% scrolls is 100* 0.3^7= 0.02% This is still very rare, especially considering the prices for 30% scrolls. Statistically you will manage to fully scroll a weapon with 30% scrolls once in 4572 tries. I would not take my chances.
And finally, the chances of fully scrolling a weapon using 70% scrolls is 100*0.7^7=8.24% Considering the prices of 70% scrolls, costing less than 1m each getting a fully scrolled weapon with 70% scrolls is definitely not too bad for players with lesser funding, statistically managing to fully scroll a weapon once in 12 tries.
Before we mix things up, we cannot forget that 30%, and 70% scrolls have a chance to "boom" an item. 30% scrolls have a 35% chance to destroy an item, and 70% scrolls have a 15% chances to destroy an item.

The chances of 1 30% booming is 35%.
The chances of a boom in 2 30% scrolls is 57.75%.
The chances of a boom in 3 30% scrolls is 72.54%.
The chances of a boom in 4 30% scrolls is 82.21%.
The chances of a boom in 5 30% scrolls is 88.4%.
The chances of a boom in 6 30% scrolls is 92.46%.
The chances of a boom in 7 30% scrolls is 94.09%.
The chance of 1 70% booming is 15%
the chance of a boom in 2 70% is 27.75%
the chance of a boom in 3 70% is 38.59%
The chance of a boom in 4 70% is 47.8%
the chance of a boom in 5 70% is 55.63%
the chance of a boom in 6 70% is 62.29%
the chance of a boom in 7 70% is 67.94%

Now, one of the most important things, is to manage to get X scrolls in a row. Especially with dark scrolls. Lets calculate the odds.

To get the first 10% scroll to succeed the chance would be 10%
To get 2 consecutive 10% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 1%
To get 3 consecutive 10% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.1%
To get 4 consecutive 10% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.01%
To get 5 consecutive 10% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.001%
To get 6 consecutive 10% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.0001%
To get 7 consecutive 10% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.00001%
To get the first 30% scroll to succeed the chance would be 30%
To get 2 consecutive 30% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 9%
To get 3 consecutive 30% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 2.7%
To get 4 consecutive 30% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.81%
To get 5 consecutive 30% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.24%
To get 6 consecutive 30% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.073%
To get 7 consecutive 30% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 0.02%
To get the first 60% scroll to succeed the chance would be 60%
To get 2 consecutive 60% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 36%
To get 3 consecutive 60% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 21.6%
To get 4 consecutive 60% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 12.96%
To get 5 consecutive 60% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 7.78%
To get 6 consecutive 60% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 4.67%
To get 7 consecutive 60% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 2.8%
To get the first 70% scroll to succeed the chance would be 70%
To get 2 consecutive 70% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 49%
To get 3 consecutive 70% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 34.3%
To get 4 consecutive 70% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 24.01%
To get 5 consecutive 70% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 16.81%
To get 6 consecutive 70% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 11.76%
To get 7 consecutive 70% scrolls to succeed the chance would be 8.24%

    COMING SOON

Now, looking at all the statistics, you should be able to paint a picture of how you want to proceed when scrolling. I will improve the guide, adding a chaos scroll section, the chances for X scrolls to succeed, and hoping to try to analyse some of the data into something useful. For now it will just be raw data you can use. If you have any questions feel free to ask away, and suggestions are always welcomeŚ„
