Hey, I bought VIP Zak from those nice guys. Everything was ok, and I had NO LAGS AT ALL, until the moment the last body died, and the game was just closed, not like a regular D/C, but a complete shutting down of the client - TWICE. I have super funny videos I took with my iphone from those 2 moments when I literally lose my shit at the age of 24 for having the game shut off a second before I was supposed to loot my beautiful Zakum helmet. WHAT DO I DO? I played with LAC Cable, strong Internet and strong computer. The graphics were on the lowest level all the way.
Graphics on lowest setting shouldn't matter. Did you take a Screenshot when Zakum died? I know I almost always DC from that (that's why I don't do it anymore) How long had your client been up before you went to Zak?
Are you running on windows10? set compatibility for mapleroyals.exe as run in windows7 , run as admin, read only.
Windows 7 has the best stability for running the old school MapleStory, setting Compatibility dose reduce a lot crashing issues which you could have a try. It might also be related to what kinda Video Card you are using, which could require you to do few times of GFX (change picture quality) in certain Boss runs (Zakum,Horntail) when a part of Boss is spawned and down .
I get this. You definitely need to be doing the lowering of graphics regularly throughout the zak bodies. For me, I can have perfectly smooth graphics on the highest setting (although glitches like the 3rd body briefly disappearing) and then it does the crash when the drops are falling. Don't make the mistake of believing the GFX trick is only for people with laggy graphics
any recommendations for the way it should be done? does it matter if I reduce 1 step each body or I can start on lowest and then make it 1 step better and again to the lowest one and so on?
It doesn't matter which setting it is on. The important thing is that you update/reload the graphics I guess. Which is by changing the quality.
