I figure it's time for me to make such a guide due to misconceptions on what stat, primary or secondary stat, should be preferred. What do I mean about secondary stat? For nightlords, their secondary stats would be dex and primary stat, luk. Archers, secondary stat is str and primary stat is dex. And so on, and so forth. There is a pervasive perception that secondary stats on our equipment would be superior to an equipment with primary stat. For example, people would prefer a 36str 9dex overall compared to a, let's say, 7str 38 dex overall (both being 45 stats overall). vs This misconception stem from the belief that you would gain less stats from the mechanics of maple warrior. I've often explained with analogies that these 2 overalls have the same effect on our stats. For example, imagine you had 59 str and 900 dex (959 stats). After mw20, you will have 64str and 990dex. Equip the blue ades and you would have 100str and 999dex. Now, imagine you bought the green ades and want to use it instead. You have 85str and 874 dex (959 stats). After mw 20, you will have 93str and 961dex. Wear the green ades and you will have...? 100str and 999dex! What's going on? The explanation is rather simple. Mw20 gives stats to not just primary stats, but also secondary stats. Having less str on your equipment means that you would need to add more base str. However, that added base str would be affected by mw20, so you would get a greater str boost and thus, the same net stat boost from mw20. Now that we established that primary stats and secondary stats are at least equal in how they benefit your total stats, I would further make an argument that primary stat on equipment should be the preferred stat rather than the secondary stat. For example, the required str for archers depend on their weapon required str. If you use a nisrock, you would need a minimum of 100 (edit: 105) str, while dragon shiner bow users will need 110 str. There are various ways to obtain str, it may be htp, maple anniversary earring, zakum helm, reindeer nose. A very well funded lv 200 char might have these Zhelm - 22str Ninja toad headband -2str Reindeer nose - 5 str Htp - 28str anniversary earring - 2str Medal - 3str krex ring - 8str various rings - 3str base str - 23 str from mw20 - 2 Total str: 98 This character would only want 2 (edit:7) more str from the overall or 12 str at most, from their overall! However, more dex is totally fine. This effect is more obvious for buccaneers since their secondary stat is dex and they only require 100/110 dex. Dex equipment are easily obtainable due to the availability of scrolls that add dex. An average lv 200 bucc might have these Zhelm - 30dex reindeer nose - 5dex htp - 23dex earrings - 10 dex medal - 3dex krex ring -3 dex various rings - 3dex base dex -23 dex from mw20- 2 Total dex: 102 Most funded buccs should be able to get better stats equipment(zhelm, htp, face, krex ring, etc) so they probably wouldn't want much more dex from their overall. Nightlords are better shielded from having too much dex since they require much more dex for their weapon (140/150dex). So, dex on their top and bottoms are fine if they aren't in excess. Corsairs would prefer dex with the same reasoning as archers. Heroes just need some extra dex to hit 120 dex, so the dex stat shouldn't matter as much. Shads would require 150 dex for their dragon kanzir, so probably wouldn't have to be concerned with going above the required dex.
Your correction is wrong bro. His talking about night lords, you on the other talk about bandit.. Or probably you would like to start a nightlord with str and Dex on it. You could be MR legend
Tbh, it wasn't exactly wrong. According to ayumilove formula compilation, Dagger/Throwing Stars (Thieves) Primary: LUK * 3.6 Secondary: STR + DEX (L7/ triple throw has a special formula that only takes into account luk though) But the "secondary" stat we are interested in this case is the non main stat that is required to wear equipment.
Hey, I was wondering if the 10% stat gained from mw20 helps u with reaching the stat requirement for an equip? So it is possible that you could only wield the equip when using mw? Ty for the guide btw.
I thought everyone knows how this works. The reason why people often prefer a secondary stat tradeable item like bm oa, is because they may not have had enough time to collect the untradeable items but want to keep their secondary stat low in order to avoid wasting mesos on reseting their secondary stat later on. Buying a str oa or similar is good for cases like that since it has resell value unlike the ap resets spent to lower your secondary stat.
