hi! i was wondering if i could get some help or a guide from anyone? so... im a huge, huge newbie. i never got the chance to play pre-bigbang maplestory so i dont know anything. even when i try to look at guides i get really confused and i have so many questions. ive played mapleroyals before, but never got very far. id love to become a bishop, but i just have a lot of questions because everything is so new and confusing to me... im going to follow a guide on how to become a bishop, but i think ill still need some guidance along the way. if anyone could help, it'd be greatly appreciated! i'd love to enjoy mapleroyals, i just feel like it's a big game with lots of info to know @_@ i also wanna have fun with this game and understand it more! so i have a few questions...
    1. should i go completely lukless? ive heard that luk is pretty much useless to any magician, and that damage is better without luk. but i still dont know which way to go.
    2. what quests should i do in maple island before i go to ellinia to become a magician? i know there are a a lot and i must become a magician at level 8, but i just dont know which ones to do.
    3. should i buy equipment and weapons from the ellinia weapon/armor shop? ive heard that you'll pick up equip along the way as you grind and defeat monsters but i just want to make sure.
these aren't all my questions but ones that i could think of for right now. if anyone could tell me any basics i need to know, please do so. any help is greatly appreciated! ty guys!

    1. Yes, it is highly recommended. Most items viable for mage circulating the market is lukless or at the very least, minimal luk required (less than around 40) such as those lv30 mage shoes, bathrobes, yellow work glove, red marker, elemental wands, maple staff/wand. Just add all your AP into INT. To achieve the low luk requirement for some mage equips, Zakum Helmet, Silver Deputy Star, Horntail Necklace will do the trick.

    3. Not necessary since they don't affect your gameplay even the slightest bit in my opinion. The item you should consider changing often is your weapon. I suggest getting maple equips such as Maple Staff, Maple Shiny Wand, Maple Wisdom Staff, Maple Pyrope Staff/Wand etc.

I believe bishops require very very little expenditure from lv1-120 because you can train easily with parties or heal skill and holy symbol. It is recommended that you accumulate all your mesos for buying leech and not on equipments (other than the weapons, but badly scrolled ones will do the job). You should start getting equipments past 120 when you can sell leech or join bosses to earn mesos.

Welcome to Royals~ There are various guides in this forum that you can find.

But first, I'll answer your questions and doubts :
    1. I would advice to go pure Int and go Lukless as a bishop to pump more magic attack which lead to better damages than having luk. What you heard is true. There are many pure INT, LUK-less equips out there for Pure Int Magicians. But if you want to have fun in changing various magician eq and wands/staffs, of course you can have yourself with luk. It is up to anybody.

    2. I suggested to do whatever quests available in Maple Island before you are level 8 and before you are going to Victoria Island. Just do whatever there is :) Do the bench ones, the snail ones, collecting stuffs quests, Chief's quests, Chief's daughter's quest lines etc. These quests will give a lots lots lots of exp. I do think it is much better than just grinding.

    3. If you are going to be a pure Int Bishop and if you are poor right now, I'll suggest to just get a simple equips or see if someone is kind enough to donate you some int items to start off. When you are on the level of selling AP Reset and Gacha, please do so. It will lead you more money and you can get better items on your future levels especially for better capes, gloves, ele wands and equip. Scroll yourself a bathrobe with int 100%.

Please let me know if you are online, I'll get you some items to let you start off now or perhaps in future. ;)

If i rmb what i actually do for my mules correctly, u shld hit exactly lvl 8/9 if u do all the quests excluding the quests from Biggs, Bari's Test, Love Counselling, the 2nd half of Mai's Training quest chain and if im not wrong, Protect Lucas's Farm. When u hit lvl 7 u can head on the victoria island and do the quest from olaf or something and u should level up to 8 after u do finish the job advancement quest at Grendal.

On the side note, if u like questing a lot, then u can just not care abt the extra levels so tat u can get more quests done for the Quest Specialist medal :) I did that and I'm fine even after hitting 182 xD
