Hi everyone, how you doing? I'd like to ask you something. Well, I'm kinda curious to find out what does the name/ign of some people here means. Some sound really special, and after a short google search I didn't find out what their name means. I guess some just have a random name made up right on the spot without a meaning, but others take their name from something else. Like a product or a brand or something. So, I hoped if you can explain here what your name means, where it comes from, etc. I'd like to start by explaining my name. Well, you see... what happened was like this. I was infected with some kind of stomach/intestine related inflammation in the past. I think it's called gastrotis, or something. I'm not sure. I had strong nauseas and vomiting's, and I was given this Zofran medication. I felt a lot better and felt like it saved me, so I decided to use it as a name for this game. That's where my name comes from. I guess it would sound kinda funny to name yourself after a medicine, but whatever. By the way, if you google Zofran you can find out more about it. So yeah, that's my name. What about yours? I'd love to hear. Thanks.
I chose Snape because as a kid I really loved Harry Potter but I hated Gryffindor, it seemed too "cliche" for me and everyone around my age was already dressing up as Gryffindors. I also thought Harry was annoying lol so I didn't really like his character but I loved all of the others, and Slytherin was more of my style anyways <3
A nostalgia moment for me is scrolling my Eclipse (A Lv.80 Pole Arm) back in GMS (probably in year 2008 or something). I was playing a pure Pole Arm DK back then, and by all measures he really sucked. I enjoyed playing DK though, so I decided to make another one. Pure Spear this time. I decided to name him EclipseDK, because well... Eclipses are cool and DK means... well Dragon/Dark Knight (or Donkey Kong, if you wish). It doesn't really make much sense, but yet to this day, I keep the name EclipseDK... As for "Zerato", that one will remain a mystery...
for me it's was simple and not much sense behind it.. Absol (the pokemon) and finish with "ian" because why not? so turn out "Absolian" it's been my main IGN for the past 7 or 8 years..
Mines a nickname based on my last and first name. Some people in the server thought it was a porn name. Lmfao.
i used to play world of warcraft nearly 8 hours every day when i still had a subscription ishpa was my pandaren windwalker monk, and its what i used for my shadower, and Lshpa for my bishop it came from blizzard's character name generator i just kept clicking randomize until i found something i liked then ishpa was born
let's see that everyone asks me why you chose that "name" (ChikoHero) I'll be honest with you ... my nickname is the "Chiko" every time my friends see me or find me, they say "oh, look at the chiko XD" and Hero good, although it's true, I'm Hero, but that's not why I used Hero ... Hero is my surname
Used this IGN back in the official MapleSEA days! We were in our junior year and my school had a Prom Night which allowed us to dress up as anything we wanted. Everyone was having fun and staying out till late but i had to be home earlier than everyone due to my parents giving me a curfew My date obviously wasnt happy that i needed to be home early and broke off with me (Good riddance) Everyone laughed at me cos i was the only one that had a curfew and said i got the nickname - Cinderella. I cried and went home (emo, duh!) and switched on my computer to play Maple. Was previously playing a Warrior (Super slow in hitting and walking - Mind you, no 3rd job and 4th job at that time!) and i met this really cool Assassin who took pity on my slow speed and offered to Haste me. I got addicted to the mobility and range of the Assassin that i immediately logged out of my Warrior and created an Assassin - And thus, SINderella was born!
I was PaddysPub before, meant to be a reference to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. But, my name now is pretty self-explanatory. Edit: My character names in my forum signature (excluding arcticedge) are references to the five main characters of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia as well!
My IGN is pukyxinhxinh and its history is super long. "Xinh" means cute in Vietnamese, so Puky Xinh can be translated as Cute Puky and "xinh xinh" is just a way to stress the adjective. Puky is the name of my favorite stuffed toy (she's a rabbit). At first, I used meoxinh as an online name for many flat forms, which means Cute Meo (Meo is my nickname at home), but so many people using meoxinh as it can also be understood as Cute Cat. Since Puky Xinh is more unique and I dont have to add any number behind it, I have used it since.
