advantage of sparta + shield = 1hand swords are cool and brandish animation with it is cool advantage of ST = way more dmg for the same cost
Sparta is good if you are poor I guess (like if you buy a weapon for 4b or below) since it's quite cheap For high atk/perfect weapons stonetooth is stronger though, and it's cheaper too because you don't need to scroll a shield with it
If you use high wa potion like apple and you have high external wa from other equips stonetooth is always going to win due to weapon multiplier PLUS it's also fast, which is the main reason night lord will spend billions just for an increase of 1wa since claw has the highest weapon multiplier. 1h is cheap and perhaps cooler for some people but objectively speaking stonetooth is the best sword without accounting the availability of speed infusion, in which dragon Claymore will be better but well, just go for stonetooth.
Without SI flame sword/pyrope are actually stronger than stonetooth (due to their faster attack speed being fast 4 compared to stonetooth's fast 5) but they are a lot more expensive (since you need a shield) and aren't that good with SI
As soon as you slap in an apple stonetooth will be better. Without apple yeah 1h may be viable or slightly better but overall speaking stonetooth will be the best investment.
Faster weapons benefit more from weapon attack compared to a 2handed weapon that's a bit slower so an apple will help the Flamesword more.
Sparta is a lot cheaper if you're trying to buy below 4b cause you can get a good sword and shield at the price of an average ST (and also you don't need to bother with base dex) For endgame gear though ST is cheaper because scrolling a perfect shield would be very expensive
Okay I never know that the new flamesword thing that is basically lunchbox -19wa. But still, my point still stand that Stonetooth is absolutely the best overall sword to invest on because flamesword is still not a lunchbox. Good luck on funding a perfect 30wa shield AND a perfect flamesword just to compete with a perfect stonetooth while barely outmatching it and watching your perfect stonetooth friend is gaining more benefit from SI + external WA sources. This little chart should be able to tell you that how beneficial is a 2H sword when compared to a 1H sword as you start accumulate more external wa. Sure 1H sword has more advantage with little external wa but, well just have a look.
