It's how it is, or I am doing something wrong?

Well, there's something that's been bothering me for a long time by now, and I'd like to discuss it with you.

Well, let's keep something clear first. I like this server and have no plans to quit or even take a break. However, despite other players who appear to be leveling extremely fast somehow - and I still don't know why - I remain at the lower levels, stuck there and unable to level up faster. Back when we all played Maple as children - it was slow because Nexon never dramatically increased EXP rates. But on here, it kind of feels like it was back then, and I don't exactly like that. The question is - how do people level up so much faster than me? Is it possibly because of being leeched like crazy, all day long? Or something else? I really don't understand, to be honest. I'm not even 3rd job yet, and there are some players who I started playing with together, when I first joined here -they're at level 120 or about to hit 120. I don't get it why I'm left so far behind, while everyone else is leveling up fast.

 

They train more than you or leech more than you.

 

The question is, do they lose something else by doing so? As you would probably assume, if they play more than me, as in, more hours per day than me, then does that mean they lose work, sleep, etc.? I understand its just a game and there is a priority to real life issues over this game, but still. I play quite frequently, do PQ's, leech, grinding, everything. And, still, I'm not getting there. I'm just not getting there. I'm kinda sad about this, man. I want to be strong, and I want to be strong now. Not in a year from now.

 

You don’t level up by making forum posts if you haven’t caught onto that yet

 

Well, you see... I play the game quite a lot, even with the large amount of forum activity I have. But whenever I login, I give about 3-4 hours per day for this game so I can have some time left for other things. Every these 3-4 hours, I barely gain 1 or 2 levels. In a good case, I gain 2 levels if I was being leeched and paid for a leech, or had a really fast and strong party that does a PQ, etc. You could say I'm lazy and would have preferred a higher EXP rate, but that's not precise. I have a feeling all the current 4th jobbers have been leeched up all the way to level 120.

 

Don’t listen to all those negative replies! Just start with playing more and decreasing the amount of forum activity. Discuss everything in your guild and play while discussing all your problems in between. That way you can level up while talking! You do need to decrease the amount of forum activity to a minimum though, only then you can make up for all the lost training time. Good luck buddy!

 

the tone to this reply is seemingly negative and has a smart alecky feel to it. zofran is a relatively new player asking a question on how to level more efficiently, and im sure a smart alecky reply from a veteran doesnt quite help his issue. zofran seems to have reformed (zero things wrong with creating multiple posts/polls in a single day) and is willing to be nice on the forums and has done so post-ban thus far.

I agree with you TayK, however, because of the rediculous things Zofran said to Tentomon pre-ban I get why (s)he’s not that positive towards Zofran anymore.

Depending on your class, buffs, funds and experience level, some levels can be a breeze.

Priest
- At level 1o5, by providing HS service you can freely leech at Bigfoot, I believe you need to leech about 20+ kills to get from 105 to 120.

F/P Mage
- At level 5x, you can start training at Death Teddies (Level 85 mob) / Master Death Teddies (Level 89 mob) using poison breath, they award 4k exp per kill.
- At level 85, you can start training at Petrifighters (Level 110 mob) using poison mist which awards 14k exp per kill.

Some players have their own HS/Haste mules to make training much faster

To be honest, you are way too aggressive in your replies towards me. I understand you don't like me in generally, but that doesn't give you a right to speak to me in the way you do all the time. It's not fair to talk like that. I asked a legitimate question and expected a legitimate answer. Thanks for giving me options to try for training in game, but you are exaggerating. You need to remain respectful even if you are angry, and if you hate somebody, you are supposed to ignore that person, not reply to him/her. I don't want your help or advice if you aren't going to give it with respect. You need to watch your mouth.

I'm not offended, but it's disrespectful. Also, I have a feeling she's trying to lead to me getting banned again, because she doesn't like my presence on the forums. I'm going to make sure this matter is reported and taken care of.
