Reducing MapleRoyals Forum Activity

Dear friends, there's an important thing I'd like to tell you.

It seems my intense, extreme activity on the forums may be too much for some people. Maybe even for the Staff. Therefore, I decided I'll focus on the game a lot more from now, and move my activity to the game, instead of the forums. I will still be active on the forums, but much less. Also, there's an Israeli site I know about, which is very helpful and interesting. It's all in Hebrew, so you might not be able to read it, but it's a great site. I don't know if links are allowed to be shared on the forums, so until I figure that out, I can't share that with you yet. But, I can say for sure, I'm going to be a lot less active on the MapleRoyals forums from now on. I have a lot going on, in real life also, and yes, many of you were right. This is just too much. The forum activity needs to be reduced, but not completely stopped.

Weird.... I'm not sure why, but with all my sincerity, I'm getting some serious Deja Vu vibes here...

Why do all these words seem so... Familiar....

You know, big drama production bout how much of a sacrifice someone was making by being quieter on the forums, which didn't happen, in order to level up, which also didn't happen, as if the rest of us mortals were supposed to give a honking damn.

I'm really sorry, I have terrible short term memory.... Can some great and kind person help enlighten me where we've seen these words before ?

Zofran, why don’t you just reduce your time on the forum by like half? You’ll still be the most active guy on the forum by far, some can enjoy your threads and the ones that don’t enjoy your threads have a chance to not see 3/4 of the list filled with your threads and a shoutbox filled with arguments for/against the mighty Zofran.

To be honest fam, the ones that want you to be more active are just laughing at you and making fun of you. Don’t make a fool out of yourself. Post a little less and you’ll see that people will take your threads more seriously and have fun discussing those subjects, because the amount of threads you’re creating now is just too much. You agree with that, right? That way you also won’t get all those negative responces from players who think you’re spamming threads.

In case you’re just trolling everyone: the trollingcommunity must be proud and you should keep up the good work I guess!

Last thing I’d like to add: It might be a fun idea to post 1 thread a day. Everyone will be looking forward to the “Zofran thread of the day”!

+1 for the Zofran daily. I have personally reduced my forum (and game) activity, but I'd have enough time to read and participate in one thread per day. That would be just enough for me.
I like your style of writing though, Zofran. I'm still think of adding something to the Israel post, but I was kind of let down at that time because soon after you made a lot of weird threads making you look like a troll, so I wasn't sure if the Israel thread was serious or not...

 

Hi everyone, thanks for all your understanding and respect about this.

I've become very busy lately so I dont have time to participate on the forums much anymore, even if I wanted to. Thats why I think it was a great idea to reduce forums activity, not just for the purpose of focusing on the game. Also, in the last few days or so, I started to lose interest in Maple. I started playing other games, and enjoy them a little more than this. I'm still around here and there, but no more 10+ threads a day, like it was in the past. I agree with you, it was really too much.

Just follow him to whatever game and forums he go to lol. You know he can’t help posting. Even if it’s not here, it’ll be somewhere.

You definitely need to post more threads of you spending less time or even leaving the forums. Just to make sure you made your point clear enough. That being said I don’t think you should leave the forum, I need someone to keep me entertained when I’m bored at work!

 

Hi again, I'd like to make something clear. It seems some of you sound like you fail to understand a few things about this.

I haven't quitted, I have only reduced the amount of activity I'll be having on the forums. That's my decision, and it's something I'm going to follow, and not regret and change my mind after a few days. Regarding your criticism, it doesn't matter to me. If you think this is ridiculous, or that I am the biggest idiot the forums had ever known - feel free to think that way. It doesn't matter to me, and I dont care. I can accept criticism only if it is constructive and being stated with respect, and it's not constructive and being stated with respect at this point. When you come to me with the complaints of, "hang on a second - why are you unable to accept people disagreeing with you or criticising you?" - the answer to your question is right there. I dont have any obligation to convince you to believe something I say, or to look at something in a certain way that I would find comfortable. If you do or say something without respect, then I dont have to respect you either, or take it as something acceptable. That's my right that I retain.

I'm not going to comment about this any further, or answer any further questions related to this. Compliments are much welcomed, but direct attacks and insults have no place on the forums - even though I wont bother reporting anything or responding to anything specifically, for the same reasons I mentioned before. I have already shared my reasons with you regarding why I have decided to reduce forum activity - even though in reality, I could just keep things to myself and not share. I decided to share, and I dont want to feel like it was a mistake.
