    I have uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted, reinstalled, turned off forking firewall. Nothing is letting me run this game.

    Really? That always works for me :o Where you just keep clicking on the client until one opens. But otherwise, I guess you can try changing compatibility to Win 7? If that doesn't work, then I'm afraid you'll have to wait for someone with more knowledge.
