It will be nice to know how some players are dealing with the changes to pet loot and summon skills in this update. The change really blew my mind as to how lowkey overpowered summon farming really is. I take my eyes off my farmers for a few minutes (for what seemed like a few seconds) and BAM the floor is flooded with money bags and other drops. Before: I have a desktop and a laptop. Desktop: 3clients - voodoo, leecher(or ulu1 farming), HSer Laptop: 4clients - 4x voodoos After: Still a desktop and a laptop Desktop: 2 clients - leecher(or ulu1 farming), HSer Laptop: 4clients - 4x voodoos The major change here is removing 1 voodoo farmer, which is my bowmaster. Bowmaster, in my opinion is just too inefficienct without teleport to rush for the heartstoppers on the ground. Also, when selling leech, I am looking at my laptop more than my desktop to ensure I don't miss any heartstoppers, that of course requires me to extend my leech by about 10-15minutes to compensate for the lack of focus on leeching. There were times where I actually thought of doing duo ulu1 farming with 2 mages and leave 3 farmers in voodoos instead but that will just be me doing a circus act juggling with so many things. I'm also kind of glad that I don't see any looters around voodoos and no1 checks mapownership. So I got that going for me...which is nice. Are there significant changes to your farming methods? Care to share how you make your farming as efficient as possible after the update?
@HuaiEn you mentioned the problem is the number of multiclients, seems like this change only dent the number from 5 to 4 Back on topic, has anyone tried Leprechauns? Now I only do 1 character at voodoo, in the past it was voodoo + lep but I can only imagine how troublesome it is to loot the items while lep keep respawning and knocking you off (have not brought my bs to test it myself yet)
Going back to duo ulu farming for now until I find viable summon farming options Not sure if my summon farming method was off pre-patch but I was actually getting more stoppers at psycho jacks than voodoos per hr for reasons I'm still unclear on (ignoring npc value from voodoos). If this were true it may be worth going next door to psychos as the only thing you'd need to loot would be heartstoppers on the floor and essentially ignoring the rest, since equips/money bags aren't really worth the extra effort.
Before: if I go on Full Farm mode it was: 1 Mage selling Leech or hunting at Ulu1 ( Mostly ulu1 cuz its more relaxed ) 9 Farmers at Psycho jack farming Heartstoppers not to mention there 6 other clients open to farm the exp from the Farmers ( Next Gen Farmers , 6 Mules to stock up to 15 - 16 Farm mules) Desktop had: 6 Clients : 1 Mage to sell leech , 3 Farmers , 2 Leechers at psycho jack Laptop had: 6 Farmers , 4 leechers After: ... Like venin said I could just farm with 2-3 Farm while having 1 at Ulu. However that requires my full attention and I prefer actually just selling at ulu1 , ulu2 , petris ... Require 1 Mage and 1 Hser now So all my others farmers are...? Kinda useless for now?! And also the Nextgen Farmers are Rip all between lv 47-50... hmmm Would say this update hitted me good Yes I could just do like Before but it drives you crazy to keep looting in many Clients. The point of this was to do something while Grinding. Edit: This is how I grinded hard on Obv4 on many chars knowing im making money on the side (Not with all the clients , but atleast 3 were running)
I don't really farm, but my expectation is that Hearstoppers will go up in price marginally, offsetting the 'inconvenience' caused by this change for those who did AFK farm.
used to farm stopper on 2/3 clients while going to boss/apq now i dun even boss except for pap/shaolin daily. tho i nvr did zak/krex tat often even b4 so not much change
Before: Grind ulu1 on bishop (1hit) and have 5 mules farming gold teeth at the dead mine. After: Nothing, I don't really farm or play as much anymore. So I guess just vote =P
Before: 9 characters summon farming 1 character, NL in FM Lep meso per hour net minimum: 18m per hour Post stopper rate nerf Voodoo meso per hour net minimum: 17m per hour Saities meso per hour net minimum: 15m per hour Post stopper rate nerf Psycho Jacks meso per hour net minimum: 11m per hour 800m+ per day: 9 clients at Lep, 162m per hour net minimum 1.5b+ per day: Red Envelope Event: 2 clients at Saities, 7 clients at Lep, 200m+ per hour net minimum Plus from Lep, godly 7 int and 8 int Dark Noels (15m, 30m), godly 6 int and 7 int Esther Shields (20m, 30m) After: 0 characters online Not at all upset about the nerf though. It was incredibly broken and overpowered and I knew it. I suppose if I ever needed to make meso, I'd just farm ulu 2 with my bishop old school style. No telecast, no summon farm. Just grinding it out like I used to in early 2017.
Really thankful for your honesty here~ Back when I tried to talk about how broken it is, not many people would believe me. Since you mentioned ulu2, may I ask in terms of mesos income, is ulu1 better? Nowadays a few friends of mine (me occasionally) have been doing 2 mage/bs ulu1, or even 3 chars so perhaps something similar can be done in ulu2 too ?
It was certainly broken for the large scale summon farmers, but I think there was less than five people who were actively multiclienting this much at any one time. I do know ulu 1 is better for solo mage farming (70m per hour) than ulu 2 (60m per hour). I haven't tried duo mage farming personally, but I have heard that ulu 1 duo mage farming is best. I don't know the setup or rotation for it though.
Tbh I don't think the patch has devastatingly affected mass summon farmers because it's technically still doable, just more tedious (5-10 seconds per client looting as opposed to like, half a second?). What I think the update has stopped is people who choose to consistently have 2-3 clients open on summon farming whilst bossing, pqing, leeching etc. In reality I've been doing this myself for about a week or so leading up to the patch and whilst I never sold any of my stoppers, it did save me enough stopper money to be slightly annoyed at this update. Bearing in mind I haven't really been making billions of mesos off this mechanic like others clearly have. Re. ulu1, duo mage farming (+/- one extra looting character; unviable during the christmas event if you want snow) is around 110-130m/hr from pure npc. I find it extremely tiring after an hour or so because you need to consistently switch clients all the time, gene once-twice every 8 seconds whilst walking around looting. So... probably going back to selling leech
Update current CNY event. I have gotten used to the changes. Pre Nerf: 3 Voodoos 2 Jacks 3 Leps 1 Ulu1 Post Nerf (CNY): 1 Sites 7 Jacks 1Ulu2 Pros: -Less stopper farmers/sellers. Never need to fight for map. Cons: -Timing problems. Stoppers/Envelopes disappear from time to time cause of bad rotations. -Ulu1 farming is undoable with 8x open. Ulu2 is barely bearable. -Leps is impossible now. -Archer clients even more heavily affected since no teleport. -Most farmers back to Ulu/Ulu double mage. Ulu more populated now. Overall: -Nerf is only bearable because people are quitters. -After CNY its not worth the trouble of priest farmers, I use them in Jacks. Much worse than old lep farmers pre nerf. Rip Shiyuis 8+ priests -Stoppers are currently low cause of event farming. Should increase at least 20-30k after the event. -After CNY not sure its worth the trouble of doing this much work. Would rather casually farm ulu1 with less clients. Currently double ulu1 mage is considered the best form of consistent cash. Would suggest against afk farming. If they nerf ulu eq drop rate again its gg. @Venin pro juggle
How much do you get from jacks per char per hour? o.o Also why do you think leps is impossible? Do you mean stopper farming + leps is impossible or leps itself is not worth it?
Because without being able to use item ignore loot I feel leps is extremely inconvenient now I do jacks during CNY. Also because I have a lot of archer farmers. If you do leps alone might be okay, but I tried it without item ignore and hated it
