We're actively monitoring the drop rate, and decided that the original rate was too high (we are getting reports that people are getting 200+ RE per hour and that wasn't our intended figure), so we nerfed it. Despite nerfing some specific mobs like Bubbling, people still manage to get 200+ RE by going to some unpopular maps which is when we decided to do a global nerf.
but I’m still getting 200+/hr In all seriousness however I fundamentally disagree with the idea of nerfing specific mobs. The sheer volume of high spawn rate maps in this game means that this tactic is a very high volume of work for little realistic gain as people are able to find alternatives. Prior to this s/c ulu had a droprate nerf of envelopes only but skeles had a significant nerf of both envelope and wish ticket droprate. I must say I was entirely perplexed by the rationale behind this difference but I guess it’s irrelevant now.
Can I suggest future changes/updates like this be announced in official channels like how Matt announced server check in his post? Because right now, there is quite a lot confusion regarding what is affected. Ranging to only certain maps are being affected to all rewards being lowered.
Thanks for your clarification, I hope it be announced in a proper post. Instead, of me informing my friends saying Kai said ... in the shoutbox or someone said only some maps got affected. I want to give them an official source they can check instead relying on hearsay.
Some mobs had their rates changed from 2.5% to 1.5%. The change did not seem to warrant an announcement in my opinion, and we often and usually do this during events without notification.
I think what she’s trying to say is that we as players would like it to be announced and we would prefer that to the approach taken in the past where you guys do it without saying anything.
Ples ninja buff a certain mob to drop mw20 to a higher rate Jokes aside. I feel the nerf was needed or else it will cause an market rate issues for prices on items like AP Resets and other contents such as ws/cs. Imo is a definately a right move For the nerf and have the rates adjusted so players are still able to benefit and have fun from this slightly unbalanced event but not affect the economy on a large scale.
I felt like the nerf is necessary so that I won't feel so bad about missing out much on this event. Hehe Anyways, this nerf is absolutely nothing compared to pet loot getting nerfed. I complained about how GMs do things without the players knowing what's happening but we just gotta suck it up and git gud. Don't cry, just adapt. Kthxbye
This happens every year. Gotta milk the beginning while you can At least the event isn’t a month long and the RE nerf will help stabalize prices. I believe last years CNY was the beginning of the end of the market. CS/WS hit 300 and CFA/WFA/BFA30% never went up to even 30m/30m/20m when they used to be 36m/22m. Month long CNY was hard yikes
Quick question. After the nerf, the drop rates seemed substantially lower than before. I was struggling to get one env every 5-10 minutes. Recently it seems like it's gotten much better without dropping too much. Was there a slight increase after the nerf? Also anyone who's wondering about the 5k cards, those weren't nerfed. No way. My average has been 2 5k cards per 100 envelopes, and I've done 10s of thousands so far with no inconsistency.
Matt you seem like monopolize everything about the game, your Nerf also never let player know, there was feedback thread, I think you wouldn't ask or read it too.. The whole few updates Ive seen recently is that only Nerf and Nerf nothing else.. The event it's only short period where player can enjoy little bit to grow also have been Nerf..
