Quick question here as mentioned in title~ For my past few rings I used to cs+ws, but then I started to think if it's better to just cs, but couldn't come to a conclusion. Any inputs are appreciated!
I'd use CS + WS as the rings are like 850m+ clean, if you use only a CS and it fails you basically lost 1.25b but if you use a WS as well your loss is only 800m.
WS does nothing when cs works. WS will give you a clean alc ring when you fail cs instead of failed ring. So the expected value of using ws is 0.6 * 0 + 0.4 * (clean ring price - failed ring price) So theoretically you should use ws when 0.4*(clean ring price - failed ring price) > current ws price. But since getting alc ring is not ez so using ws is not bad choice imo
if losing a slot on an equip would lose more than 2.5 times the value of a ws, then you should use a ws. The ring worth less than 1b, not to mention “ring w/ 1 slot - 1/1/1/1 ring w/ 0 slot” So no, don’t use ws.
True that the maths kinda shows that it's better to just CS, and another perspective is that this item is unavailable enough to possibly warrant using a WS.. Right now (just owled - 3 results only) a failed alc ring is about ~440m, and a clean ring about 1.1b (probably overpriced in my opinion) Trying out some of the methods described above, seems like it's much better to not use WS for my case, a reason being i'm purely after the profits.
