Very Fucking Good Indeed, my friend. 9 days before this post, the creator of Maple Kombat - Dray86, who on Patreon, the site where he gives regular updates and previews, introduces himself to you all as Andre, announced on Patreon that Maple Kombat 9 was 98% done. Some of you know that Dray has a discord server which has been running for around two years now. Yes, he announced it on facebook 1-2 years back.There, he said that he confidently expects Maple Kombat 9 to be FINISHED on or very near March 30, 2019. His collaborators and old friends are on this server too, and he'll talk to you just like he talks to them. Silverbg2, spritefan2, and some of his coanimators chat each other up lightly on occasion and as a fan, it's great to see these legends who unintentionally created such a legend as gamers like us at their core amidst their artistry and creativity. He talks to you like a friend and he really is a friend! Know why that is? He is a very humble person and feels so lucky to have fans that love his series so much! Well Dray, you should've thought about that before you went and put thousands of hours in creating the best maplestory series on Youtube, with pretty impressive cinematic and plot attributes. And because he is so grateful of his fans, just shoot him a message, on Facebook or in the discord chat and he'll love it. As a big fan of Dray's and resident of his discord server, it feels like there is a bond forged between Dray and every single one of his fans. A bond composing a mix of appreciation, love, gratitude, hard work, perseverance and dedication. Andre is a great guy. He actually feels bad about asking for money and can't bear the be the kind of youtuber that asks viewers to subscribe and comment. "Smash that like button, subscribe. -halfway in vid- Subscribe, comment, share. -rinse and repeat-" These types are usually harmless but still, Dray's great. Some of the updates he gives us on discord are of his personal life. The story of his tribulations and triumphs over Maple Kombat. The times where he just says he fucking loves us. The story of his proposal to his girlfriend. The wedding of a friend since childhood he was best man to. Aaron, his name was. Buttercast ring a bell? Like to check out the pics on discord? Someone in the server even gave his home in Amsterdam a place for Dray to crash while he was traveling with his girlfriend. That's fucking awesome. Pics of that too. He'd have a drink with you if you were in Melbourne. Seriously. Though a one night stand may be a bit too hopeful. His work life, daily life, personal life, it's like a blog where you can see the native New Zealander Kiwi Dray in his natural habitat. He lives in Australia now, but anyway. I know some people don't really follow Dray's facebook and aren't aware he has a patreon and discord server. But in general, he has provided updates rather regularly. But, some of his fans have been following him for two years since he first announced his comeback in August of 2016. He loves animating and telling stories, and does not intend to let that stop with Maple Kombat 10. Oh, yes, you heard me right. It's not over. His girlfriend motivated him, gave him an impressive plaque(Pic of that too on discord), and after being demotivated for so long, he got on it. In the beginning, it seemed so hopeless, so much he would have to do, but he got through it, and the many months of troubling phases afterwards. But he pulled through. That is the strength of a true content creator. It is inspiring. For quite a while, he has now worked part time at his tech firm and uses that day and a good chunk of his weekend to work on Maple Kombat 9. He explained his dream for Maple Kombat to his boss, and he supported it. Stand up guy, right? And now, he is here. WE are here, my friends. Hey, do me a quick favor? Open up Youtube.
