I am not a shadower myself and never will, but I just like when everything is clear for the best of the server and for all Royalers.

Now, is using mouse wheels to drop mesos really bannable? I believe all high-leveled shadowers have been using it to some extent, so would they all get banned even though they believed this was the only way to play the shadower class? I keep reading admins/GMs' answers and I am still not satisfied. One of them said and it was quoted back in Vend's thread, "This would grant players an unfair advantage since it is no longer a 1:1 action". I find this answer unsatisfactoy considering the consequence of using mouse wheel to drop mesos being apparently a permanent ban. I personally think this is huge and this is why it has to be discussed furthermore.

This is a grey area and a very ambiguous situation. I feel like giving a proper explanation would help clear things up and if admins believe all explanations have been given, making it official for the community would be the best thing to do; unnecessary bans would be avoided this way.

    Thank you

It is already considered and confirmed as game hacking when they quoted that ToS. So from now on if you re spotted using that mousewheel, its perm ban.

Bumping this as someone recently got banned (probably not the only one) for using sticky keys, a windows feature, allowing him/her to perform 2:1 actions while dropping mesos. This specific situation should have already been added to the T&Cs' "Appendices" section a while ago in order to avoid needless misunderstandings.

The server population is not at its peak at the moment, I do not think it's healthy for Royals to have few of its newer players banned due to a lack of clarity about these kind of situations.

If you're referring to https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ban-appeal.133408/, the mousekey method that allowed him to perform "2:1 actions" is not only explained, but recommended on THE forum Shadower guide by Marty which is one of the oldest and most viewed posts on this forum.

I'm not sure if the Admin(s) are unaware or recently changed their stance on this method, as that guide, and specifically the mouse key method, has been referred to multiple times to admins and they have never raised an issue about it. In fact, in https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ctrl-v-meso-dropping-as-a-chief-bandit.97567/ where Vend brings up binding "3 buttons on my keyboard to my mouse's left click", this 3:1 action was entirely ignored by Matt solely because he referenced the guide.

I do agree you with that, more clarification is needed concerning the mouse keys. I dropped playing my shady about year(s) ago (at least the bombing) when I used the mouse keys to drop insanely fast mesos. And I wasn't the only one, I also had many other friends who were very aware of how to do that. Was good times, I did report about it to the gms and got straight answer that continuing would lead into a ban. Interesting thought, i wasn't doing more than using keyboard and windows build-in function - and that becomes bannable suddenly. Idk about the mousewheel thingy but I guess as far it's not anything to do with 3rd party programs why not. It's not like we're still in '90 running ball mouses. I do understand denying programs that come with your mouse/keyboard and by using them you can do all kind of bindings.

I was expecting the staff to make some kind of annoucement to clarify the rules for the players, what was allowed to do and what was not. Now few years later still waiting.

I feel bad for the guy that just got banned. He couldn' t know. Such a tragic way to end his journey, could have been me.

To add, there's lot of things that go wrong when playing shady. Gotta be careful that you don't abuse the bombing glitch. If the bags remains after using skill it's bannable too - if you're doing it on purpose (you have figured out how) which shouldn't be too hard after all.
How do you know if someone is doing it on purpose, though. Hmmm

Oh now that's interesting, I wasn't aware of that. This is very confusing, especially for someone who is not active on forums and therefore not up to date to staff's position on different subjects.

oh wow, my first time seeing this thread. If only I had seen this earlier.. for some reason threads regarding this whole mesos dropping issue always seem hidden among the shadows (pun intended) ~f7
