My suggestion is to connect Forum accounts with server accounts, so people will need to make only 1 account, and it will be a loot easier.... also, then you can add some more features, like characters display below avatar...
This isn't really worth the extra effort when you can easily make a second account. Also keep in mind some people would like to keep their in-game login username and forum name different for either personal or security reasons.
