Your Character Names: Rovita, Rovidin and my mule Doppelrovi Last thing you did: Walking around FM, before that I was grinding Coolies. Why do you think you got banned?: Honestly have no idea. I grind Coolies a lot for teeth while I'm at work and I don't pay attention at all usually. Maybe someone walked by and I didn't respond? Ban message when attempting to log in: "Problem wrong with connection, or account has been deleted." What GM banned you (optional): No clue.
Hi Shane, Is there no discussion for this? The only "macro" I have set is my shift key to repeat so I don't have to mash it all day.
Someone tried to contact you for several minutes and you were repeating a pattern at zombies that wasn’t just explosion. You didn’t respond during the time they tried to contact you, also having a key be repeated on its own so you don’t have to press it is a clear violation of the macro botting rule and you won’t be unbanned.
Shane, I did mention in my original post that I was working on Zombies while watching something at work. I have a lot of downtime and thought it would be fine to farm in this manner. The only people I saw walk by were people that were speaking Spanish. I didn't respond because I thought they were just talking to each other. As for the button, it's literally just pressing Explosion over and over again when I hold the button down. When I let go, the button is not pressed. I was under the impression that this was fine as long as I am not having it being pressed automatically. Just sucks. I've been working hard on these characters. Some dude just walked by and I wasn't paying attention. That's all.
They weren’t just walking by, they followed your character for several minutes attempting to get your attention. Your character kept moving in the same pattern for the duration of that time. If you don’t have any proof to the contrary, you will remain banned for macro botting.
Well, that sucks. I'm not sure how I would provide proof, and it seems to not matter in this case. The only thing I have going for me is that a guildie reached out to me and I talked to them, showing that I was actually there. I do love the game and what you guys have done here. I apologize for breaking the rules then, I guess. So this is the end for my characters? There's nothing I can do here?
After talking with everyone in Shoutbox, I realize that I may have actual evidence that I was at my computer at the time of this "incident". I understand that the reason for my ban was for the use of a macro bot, however I would like to verify that I was indeed at my computer. To prove that I was not botting and was playing legitimately as stated by the T&C, I would like to describe the events of the encounter in as much detail as I can remember. I'm assuming you have video evidence, and I would like to verify if what I remember lines up with the video evidence that was provided to you. First, there were two of them. They came in saying something in Spanish, and then proceeded to follow me for a bit. I can't remember their classes, but I want to say one of them was thief as he was jumping around a lot, as most thieves do. I do not remember them making any emotes at me, only talking a lot. I also do not remember their IGN's, but I do remember that they were short - like 5-6 characters with some numbers mixed in. They followed me on a few rotations of the map while talking for about, I would say, 5 or so minutes. Maybe even less. I recognized it as Spanish but, I'm not very well versed so I ignored. I just carried on my business as usual, exploding these damn zombies. I was not aware that I had to respond to these individuals as the T&C only states that I must reply to a GM when being accused of botting. After a while, they left, and I received a messenger request from Swanky to which I opened right away (because it's Swanky. Swanky's dope). He told me that someone said I was hacking and that I was being reported. I told him I didn't know who would do that at first, and then it clicked that it was probably the two people that were just on my channel following me around. I concluded, to Chris that I would just wait to see what would happen, as I usually stay complacent about these things until they rear their heads. This conversation was had a few seconds after the individuals left my map. If I was truly macro botting, then I would not have been able to reply so promptly to Swanky, nor would I have remembered ANY details about the individuals that (maybe?) reported me. It is for these reasons that I believe that the ban should be appealed. I cannot think of any other substantial evidence to provide for me being at my computer, but I hope this is enough information for you to reconsider my ban. I will edit this post if I remember any more details about the situation. Thank you for your time, again, Shane.

After discussion with other staff members, your ban has been reduced to 7 days for robotic play. Please keep in mind that no matter what language people are saying to you when training, you need to respond to them if they are trying to get your attention. If you get banned for this again, it will be permanent next time. You will be unbanned on 2019-04-30 at 01:51:15 server time.
