I realise, yes we chose to play islanders and I understand everything that entails. With that being said, I would like to propose two separate ideas. The first being that we get the mini game NPC on the island to create omok. This will only enhance gameplay and encourage activity for islanders. It will not offer an advantage to stats, exp or usable item gain, it will simply allow us to have something to do socially. The second idea I am proposing, and I know it has been before, is to add an area boss on the island. Specifically I am thinking Mano. With adding mano it may bring back some of the competitive spirit islanding once had. Within the thought process of adding mano, it will have a longer respawn time duration of 6 hours, allowing each major timezone a chance at it. I would also like to propose that it may not spawn on every channel, rather a very limited amount of them, if not a single channel. Let me know what you think. Edit: Votes by non-islanders don't matter to me.
Please take my input with a grain of salt, as I haven't made an Islander yet. (But will be doing so tonight - excited to join in this unique culture. <3) I think some kind of custom area boss would be even better than Mano. If that's not feasible, though, Mano is totally within the spirit of Maple Island (as you're aware, since you suggested it). Great ideas!
I agree to a large extent for both Omok and Mano to be added. Omok: Just need to add the NPC for omok to be possible. Don't see any possible downside of having mini games on the island. Mano: Adding an area boss, Mano, could be more complicated. I do agree adding Mano would helps to encourage the competition, the problem is more of the location. Supposed if Mano spawns in an normal area, might hinder new players that not know of Mano's existence. I would suggest spawning Mano in a hidden street that's only accessible at a certain level (example level 20?) Conclusion: I support both ideas to a large extent and hope to see them come true
Just stick it in one of those far away maps on the island, it's surprisingly big. Whenever I decide to do all the island quests I end up spending ages looking for orange mushrooms or pigs
I think this change would ruin the islander meta that I know and love. I love being an islander and this would completely ruin the whole concept of being an islander. Spoiler @ImCanadian
