Can you give any more information? Any patterns to the disconnect, any particular stages, is it as soon as you enter a stage, or when a boss does an attack? etc
I'm really not sure sorry. It happens to people with both amd and nvidia gpus, windows 7 and windows 10. I wasn't paying too much attention to exactly when the dc's occurred as they were catching me off guard, but I think that it was happening to me when I went through a portal (if anyone else can confirm this happens to them too?). I will pay more attention and update this response if I dc again.
If my memory serves right, the dcs happened when I entered a new stage. I suspect it might have to do with fast alt-tabbing (was playing 2 chars and alt-tabbing between clients was fastest way to get into next stage) but that wouldn't apply to some of my other pt members who dced in the same way. Would try with more runs in the coming the days though gfxing and not using alt tabbing does not seem to fix the problem. Still getting error 38 end of file sometimes when entering a stage. Yes I use an amd GPU :/
I have an Nvidia GPU and do not d/c in dojo. Some known d/cers are running AMD GPUs. The d/cs seem to happen in completely random stages as well.
Also seems like there was another thread for the same issue https://royals.ms/forum/threads/client-crashes-in-mu-lung-dojo.137867/ Would try the above and see if it fixes Update: it works! stopped dcing by entering the next stage slower (without spamming up key)
From the linked thread: Is the server dynamically creating these maps (as multiple parties can be doing runs on the same channel, so can't all use the same maps obviously), and the next map is not created server side until a player clicks up at the ground floor portal which teleports you to the 2nd floor? This would explain the end of file message (the next map has not been appended to the file yet), and why waiting a little for next room to be created server side avoids this error. This also makes sense as something that would not have been caught when testing the server prior to release, as the time to append the next map would be alot less if there's just a couple staff members logged on testing.
We did change some functionality relating to all portals in the update, so this could make sense. I'll get Kevin to look over his changes and see what might be going wrong.
We still got this problem after the sc ytd. My friend and I keep crashing when we enter some stages randomly.
Pausing for a second or so after going into the portal which teleports you to the 2nd floor and before going through the door to the next room fixes this issue (see above thread).
So I started getting this problem again, my whole party was. None of us spammed up arrow when going thru portals anymore after knowing about this but it kept on happening
did anybody use their summons? bahumat/phoenix/beholder/etc..? sometimes those cause crash too I think
nope, we’ve been running with the same party for a while now and we know to not summon. Just 1/2 person dc’ing almost every round
