Heyy everyone ! I’d like to make a few announcements regarding the changes to BlackCatsHT … This is going to be the part 1 of a very big update to BlackCats so buckle up ! First of all, I’d like to welcome the newest member of the BlackCats Staff, @yuval6161 ! Throughout the many runs, he has shown consistency in participation and has become a respected member of the BlackCats Community. He has always been there when we needed him and never shied away from taking some initiative with helping out the hosts pre/during/post runs. He will be an Assistant Host, meaning he will be helping out the hosts with preparations and organisations of the runs as well as help us out with the back end work. So welcome again @yuval6161 !! Next announcement is about the changes happening to the point system of BlackCatsHT. Point requirements for all Mastery Books have been changed with the following: This change is ONLY for book claims that are for Sale Purposes and/or Off-Class The point requirement will see and increase by 10% to the last point total cost for the player, every time that player decides to claim the specific book for a new time. For example, Off-Class/Sale Purpose claim for Triple Throw is 50. If someone wanted to claim it for those reasons, they would need 50 points. Then, if they want to claim again for the same reasons, they would need 55, if they want to claim it for a third time then 60.5, and so on. This increase will go on until 5th claim, where, from that moment on, it will remain as is. You can find the specific point requirements for respected number of claims for various books from THIS LINK, as well as from the link in the main post. Past claims WILL BE COUNTED. The reason behind this change is: To give more advantage to those who want to claim a book for Use Purpose Implement a point sink since the book drop rate is too low for the very high number of players with massive points Divert the attention given to a single book; when players can have more choices to consider the book price / point cost ratio Having said all that, the Genesis 30 from last run has been claimed by myself for 74.5 points, as it’s my 4th claim. (I wanted to wait until this change happened so I wouldn’t exploit the pre-update knowledge and claim the book for 56 points then increase the requirement.) As I would like to mention again, that this was the part 1 of our update. We’ve been working on something new to bring to BlackCats Community as well as the MapleRoyals Community, hopefully part 2 will be done soon. Lastly, new dates are up !!
