Spear fury or polearm fury?

So right now i have a lvl 6x spearman and I'm not sure If i should get spear fury or pole arm fury. Do I max both of them or one of them?

 

assuming you have pole arm mastery and booster, pole arm fury will make ur grind from 70-87 ish easier since it does way more damage than spear fury.
If you can get a nice pole arm like a maple karstan, go for the pole arm fury.

I went spear fury cuz i hated switching weapons, am very lazy and didn't want to buy another pole arm. Also after 87, you'll be mainly using spear crusher and having spear fury is pretty convenient for mobbing in some cases.

So, pole arm fury for easy leveling early 3rd job. Spear fury if you want slight convenience later.

 

I dont know, it sounds boring to use one move all the time while grinding, since I want to use both spear crusher and spear fury while training, but I'm not sure if it's a bad idea to do so

 

Well right now I'm trying to max polearm mastery and after that polearm booster, but have not added to any of the crushers (since I'm level 6x) I have trouble choosing to be a hybrid or pure spear at the moment.

 

Spear Fury is weak because spears are only good at stabbing (while fury is a slash attack) so it's better to max Polearm Fury and use a pole arm at 3rd job for grinding
In fact spear fury only deals around 60% of the damage that pole arm fury does

 

Really boils down to personal preference and your intended style of game play. Do you plan on training at Himes and/or using a pole arm to train at some point? If so, going hybrid (Polearm Fury, Spear Crusher) would likely be the way to go.

Personally I have opted for pure spear as I find fury to be useful during certain bosses to deal with the mobs or occasionally hitting a longer range mob while training, and I don't train with a polearm, so there is no added benefit to going hybrid in my case. Gotta weigh the options for your own plans and circumstances.

 

I recommend spear fury because once you are past the 4th job, I can guarantee you that you will never ever yield a polearm again even past lvl 200 unless you like cosplays. Himes is pretty much the only map where dragon fury skill will come handy over crusher. Later grinding maps like Time temple favors crusher.

There's no time to switch weapons if you are in a combat situation. For the late game references, Dragon fury is a CWKPQ sigil activating skill so it's more convenient to just use a spear all the way.
