error code: -2147467259 (Unspecified error) NEED HELP!

    I was playing fine the other day and then the day next day I gotten an error message when I tried to open the client.
    error code: -2147467259 (Unspecified error)
    I did nothing the day before like no update or changing settings at all
    I tried deleting it and re-installing, I tried running as admin, I tried tampering with the firewall to see if it was blocked, and I tried checking to update my GFX card.

    Have you checked your screen hz setting as well? It might have auto updated to 59 instead of 60

    Im trying to play MS on my old PC and i have the same error also tried a lot of solutions from the forum and nothing yet.

    So I had this issue and wrangled with it for like 3 hours today. Had two monitors, although BOTH say they're 60Hz, my older monitor was somehow forcing itself to 59Hz in Windows. Disabling my older monitor let the game run in windowed mode. I was able to only run fullscreen.exe before, but that's so damn tiny on modern 1440p monitors, christ. Lol

    Someone please explain why screen refresh rates have anything to do with windowed mode. Redraw or something? This should get fixed.

    I’m still pissed that no one has a solution for this error. For the other ppl who’s still seeking a solution that still wants to play and can’t find it, it’s just sad the fact that only donators and a few ppl are commenting. I haven’t seen a single GM tried to help..

    Try setting the compatibility at windows 7 or 8.

    The reason the gms dont respond is because this issue isnt actually caused by the server. The issue is specifically an issue with your graphics card and its communication with the game client. Its the maplestory client being nice enough to tell you that you cant connect with the current setup of your pc. This error has a history in the maple community going all the way back to 2008

    In the compatibility tab try selecting the 800×600 option. If that doesnt work try changing your monitors resolution to a different size. So instead of 1920×1080 try something like 1600×1200. If neither of these work, please completely uninstall your graphics card drivers and reinstall with the latest. Do not simply try to update without completely uninstalling and reinstalling. A completely fresh install is needed

    I just tried all the resolution and idk if i want to uninstall and reinstall my graphics card cause i legit just wiped my WHOLE laptop a week ago to get royals working and still didnt work. I legit lost all my files, games, pictures, allllll my stuff just to get one game working..

    Try running 2 or more royals clients at once. On my old laptop, it would show that error trying to open just one client.

    You might need to persist with it since I also had that problem and had to keep doing it. Maybe removing geforce experience can help if you're on nvidia.

    An update. Game still works. But something interesting. In case someone with multiple monitors is looking for a solution, check this out.

    If I go into my Windows display settings and disable my 59Hz monitor, so that my 60Hz monitor is the only screen, and run the game, THEN re-enable my 59Hz monitor, I can play the game with both screens like nothing was ever wrong. I assume there's a screen refresh rate check somewhere during application launch. After that I can just resize the game window and I'm good to go.

    Try running MapleRoyalsFullScreen.
