I know absolutely nothing about photography, but I believe the first photo is much improved with the change in contrast. It's a difficult choice between 1 and 2 for I like the colours in both -- though 3 conveys a message to be interpreted by others, and the contrast as well as the greyscale seems to dramatize it, which is a good thing. In the end, I voted #2 because it most easily grabbed my attention and was something of a mood elevator. I think it both captures the atmosphere of where the photo was taken, but also captures the personality of the artist -- and furthermore that of she who snapped the photo. You can sort of sense that the artist is freeing himself and others through his work, and I think that moment captured more beauty and emotion than the other photos. It is like art-within-art, thoughts-within-thoughts, as if it was not just a picture but a mirror. Perhaps I am looking too deeply, but I think that is what art/photography/literature and creativity in general should intend to provoke... deeper thoughts and emotional response. That's what #2 did for me, anyway. Regardless of which you come to prefer, or if your entry is chosen or not, I think you did a nice job. There is always room for improvement for anybody and anything, so don't let nasty people bring you down. Keep up the good work, and do show us more when you are inclined. Good luck!
